Ok, help me out. On one of the links it shows that this young man and future Vol had offers from the following schools. So two questions:
1. Did I read this link correctly? That is one IMPRESSIVE list of offers!!
2. Do we really want this kid if he didn't receive an offer from Appalachian State??

This can't be right. I thought Butch couldn't recruit anymore and all the in state kids were headed elsewhere. I could have sworn I'd seen post after post about the subject.

As Mark Twain once said concerning news of his death, that was greatly exaggerated.

Excellent commit! I have as much adrenaline flowing right now as this guy...

Has anyone else ever been overcome by land lobsters? Its gotta be exhilarating right?

I like keeping the Tn talent, it says a lot for what CBJ is doing.

Go Vols!

Mathews talked about the importance of keeping your best players in state. Said it'll be used against you if you don't and it makes it harder to get the top out of state talent.

And I'll say it again. He was beyond matter of fact in stating that we WILL get "10 or so instate players in this class"...period. No waffling. Said he's said it before (and he has), and wants to be clear, that we're in great shape with this class and that nearly half of the 25 we'll sign will be from Tennessee.

That's great to hear...it's been awhile since I listened to Coach's Show on Sunday mornings...

It's ALSO GREAT to hear of SO MUCH talent in Tennessee...not as much need of poaching The A-T-L and The Swamp...

“I plan to get Tee back on the boat, Ty Chandler, Princeton Fant, JaCoby Stevens — everybody. As many people as I can, I’m going to try,” Gray said

“I’ve been talking to (Fant) about it. You’ll just have to see for yourself,” Gray added with a laugh.”

Soon.

From the recruiting forum.
Love this quote.
