Hopefully libs will now understand the threat that is Islamic terrorism now that one of their protected classes has massively attacked another one of their protected classes.

This is just utterly disgusting.

Bruin - the AR is used very infrequently in shootings; even mass (more than 4 people) shootings.

I would like to see the figures but it seems to me to have been used in many over the past 5 years.


Don't get me wrong I don't think talking ARs off the street solves the problems but it lessons the casualties.

IMO if the shooter last night didn't have an AR he would have been able to kill much less than 50 people and yes I understand that ARs would still get into the wrong hands if outlawed but I am willing to give up that assault riffle right if it gets them out the hands of just one killer.

I enjoy shooting the AR rifle a lot but it adds nothing to my quality of life and I will gladly give it up

I honestly don't know if that would improve the circumstances relevant to the big picture of Islamic terrorism. I do know, though, that's pretty much what ISIS does to anyone they deem to be a traitor. Also, the vast majority of the world, including Muslims, view ISIS as barbaric savages. So, I am more than a little reluctant to head down this path you are pointing to.

Sadly, trying to take on such people like the one in Orlando with a .38 and a bus driver cap isn't going to cut it anymore.

I think a lot of the militarization is blown out of proportion, but gunning up a PD to face threats like this (patrol rifles, Level 4 body armor, helmets, etc that are carried, not worn) is smart. Especially given the circumstances of the waves of gun control in this nation.

Don't forgot those awful Lenco BearCats that have saved officers from gunshots and also bottles and rocks in Ferguson/Baltimore.
