Yup and that's why I said "heading into the season" We where ranked 2nd and 3rd in the AP and Coaches polls going into the season.

We had a NC type of D it's just a shame our O was hot garbage.

I like the thinking...2nd win over Alabama in the SECCG, win over a 1 loss UF in the playoff and taking down OU in the title game with me at the game. In "Godfather" parlance, Vols will take care of ALL the family business in the span of a few weeks.

As a Vol fan not sure it gets any better than that. If that were to occur I encourage all male fans cash the 401k, head to Vegas, eat only at the heart attack burger joint, and eat, drink, & Viagra yourself to oblivion before ever seeing another CFB season.

What a dream season that would be....beat Bama and Florida twice on the way to avenging a couple of losses to Oklahoma in the title game. That would hands down be the greatest season in Vols history.

Yep, Kirk picked us to win the East last year, and is doubling down this year.

What's perhaps more interesting from that article is this line:
Georgia is the favorite to win the division, with 166 first place votes in the SEC media vote. Tennessee came in second with 36.

Point being, while Kirk and Jesse Palmer and some others, like Marcus Spears I think, were picking Tennessee, the majority of the nation were actually picking Georgia to win the East in 2015.

I think 2016 may be the first time in 8-9 years that the Vols are the consensus favorite to represent the division in Atlanta.

Be interesting to see what comes out of SEC Media Days next month.

You know, when I was young I used to dream about certain things. It's been a long time since I've "dreamed" about something, but I gotta admit I'm dreaming about beating Alabama twice in one season. Spanking their hinie in the SEC Championship game would be one for the ages!

Odds in Vegas say K. Herbstreit is a 3-1 Favorite for selecting Vols to Win SEC East, this year.

I tend to think you're correct here. He is stuck with a bad QB and Bama has proved they can limit Fournette. Unless they can find a lot of offensive productivity other than Fournette the Tigers and Les will not be in Atlanta.

I think the most important game will be UT-UGA. It should determine the east. LSU wins west. Les Miles still gets fired.

With a couple of breaks, UT can beat Alabama in the sec title game---they always get all the calls from the bama-loving refs.

I actually really like Herbie. His predictions aren't usually all that accurate, but he has some good commentary and is enjoyable to listen to, which is more than you can say for a lot of commentators. Besides, I feel like he is one of the few CGD analysts that doesn't dump on TN anytime he gets a chance.
