Damn excellent episode. Fist pumped at Hound intro.
Only thing that blows is that Ian McShane's role was short lived.
I was pretty surprised he ended up having basically an extended cameo. I knew at the end he was going to be hanging but still.
Also, does the Hound just really get into chopping wood that he didn't hear anything going on? He wasn't that far away, seems like he would have heard some screams or something.
regarding McShane, yeah, that was the way I saw it as well. Was hoping we'd at least get another episode from him, but oh well. Some McShane is better than no McShane.
was wondering about the Hound myself lol those Brotherhood guys did some pretty damn quick work on that settlement.
speaking of the Brotherhood, after that ending last night, I'm now 99% positive we're getting
LSH
I'm not sure why you would be so confident. In fact, I would argue that the state of the brotherhood displayed last night means we're less likely to see that.
My opinion on the matter may be influenced by the fact that I simply don't want to see that happen in the show.
there's a bit more to it than just last night's episode, but I'd rather not get too into that cause it's REALLY spoilerish.
Was posting about the state of the brotherhood in another forum. Real curious why you think the state of the brotherhood last night means we're less likely to seeLSH?
I mean it still doesn't make complete sense necessarily, but makes far more sense than if you believe this is still the Brotherhood under Beric's command.
of course, the guys last night could also have just been lying out their asses, or didn't even commit the slaughter at all, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
there's even a subtle nod that the "leader" of those three is Lemoncloak
Although Jaime and Brienne being in the Riverlands at the same time is keeping me from giving up on LSH in the series, the Brotherhood slaughtering unarmed followers of the Seven instead of piling up Frays makes it look like the series is more interested in a Red God vs. the Seven religious war than LSH's revenge IMO. Still, it seems someone has to be pushing the Brotherhood in a different direction. It could be that LSH is angry with the Seven for the plight of her family, or maybe Thoros has become more pious recently.
Michelle Fairley the actress that played Catelyn Stark and who would play LSH hasn't signed a contract since season 3. The only person that is set to return is Thoros of Myr
thank you
sorry for spazzing, but that was't cool.
if Stoneheart is coming back, I'm pretty sure they would keep it completely under wraps. so just because you don't see anywhere that Fairley has signed a contract to appear this season, doesn't necessarily mean anything.
No way that is happening. If LSH were runnin the BWB, she would be doing what she's doing in the books...wrecking Freys in the Riverlands not killing innocent monks over by the coast.
The BwB is all about protecting the common folk, regardless of religious affiliations. Mainly attack/pillage those that pose a threat to the common folk, whether that be the enemies they fought against during the war (primarily anybody associated with the Lannisters), common criminals, or northern raiders. Seems very anti-BwB to straight up slaughter a group of innocent, defenseless small folk for some slim pickings.
Only explanation I can think of is that the BwB has a new leader, whom has brought the Brotherhood to a low point where they are nothing more than the outlaws they fought against. Still, in regards to who I'm referring to, it still doesn't make complete sense. Definitely know Beric would not be cool with that though.
I'm lazy and don't feel like typing another long winded post, so I'll just copy pasta what I put in another forum.
obviouslywouldn't be focusing on these random folk, hence why i said it doesn't make complete sense. but, what i do know, is that the brotherhood turned into straight outlaws after becoming the de facto leader. it was after that point, many members disbanded, as the Brotherhood was longer about justice anymore.LSH
