Florida Game

This years Florida game is going to be so hype. I can't wait for that game. I believe we will have one of the loudest crowds we have ever had from 102,455!

Over the last 10 years the fans in Neyland hasn't had much to cheer about.

Dooley could never put a team on the field, Kiffin is a spoiled brat nobody could get behind, The late Fulmer years were full of disappointments.

Put together a good season and some momentum this year and Neyland rocks

based on my nine trips to neyland, these two posts are spot on.

At death valley, and to a lesser extent the swamp, the team feeds off the crowd noise, and the noise is consistent on every down.

At neyland the crowd feeds off the team.

I will say the swamp isn't as loud as it used to be, primarily because all the students don't show up on time, and a good number of them are chained to their smartphones instead of making noise.

f the jort wearing gator fans

2007 was about the last time we had something to cheer for. 2008 and 2009 was for Berry. We've had talent after that just not a coach to properly use all of it..

Florida fans---as redneck as they come!

I cant testify to the noise at Neyland. Whenever i have been, i was so high up i was able to touch clouds.

The exception was 2010 and i cant make a judgment based on that year

Neyland gets loud AFTER big plays. It needs to be loud before they happen. A lot of our fans sit on their hands during the game and only get loud before 3rd down once the team had lined up. We need to make it hard for them to hear plays on every down and even on the sideline. And lord have mercy if the other team completes a big offensive play, about as loud as a mausoleum in there. If UF scores first, goes up by a score, or scores at all it will get quiet in there.

I agree - crowd needs to get louder a little sooner before the plays even called.

Which is exactly the problem with our crowd. We need our fans to really make Neyland what it can be. Anybody can cheer for a touchdown or an interception after it happens. We need crowd support from the start of the game for homefield advantage to be an actual advantage for us.

Was there in 95. God that sucked.

Started out great until Jay Graham, Nilo Silvan and our defense decided to just hand Florida the game. Of course, despite being outstanding that day, most lazily say that was a loss that falls on Manning.

98 Arkansas Stumble and Fumble might just be the maximum volume level allowed by the laws of nature. But we might match it!

I saw both and have to say the Stumble Fumble was the loudest of the two.

I've been at most of the games at Neyland a few years before through current, and the loudest moment is NO DOUBT in 98. The stadium was shaking, even with a lot of people leaving, and it got so loud it was deafening, and I listen to heavy metal.

I do agree that the stadium only gets loud at times, and it really ticks me off that our fans don't keep it loud the whole game. OU last year was as close to keeping it loud for 4 quarters at Neyland since the mid 90's. I'm doing my part and I see others doing theirs...No more 3rd down for squat and as football fans, be loud before 3rd down begins and make it REAL HARD on our opponents!

I know the students do their part, I'm on their end. I'm not saying any specific area is not as loud, but when i go sit with friends that are sitting other places, I can really tell how loud that end gets and if the whole stadium rocked like the South End...we would definitely create some home field advantage.

Peyton played out of his mind in '95. That loss definitely wasn't on him. Peyton was unstoppable for 2 1/2 quarters.

Jay Graham, and whoever was supposed to cover Ike Hilliard...they deserve criticism.

I have yet to be at anything that tops 82 Alabama game. Roar was constant all game long and for over an hour after the game. stadium moved throughout the game or at least felt like it.

and I've been at every game mentioned in this thread

This was a fantastic game!

Easy, Z. 99 has been welcomed on this board for a long time now and will be continued. Very good knowledge of the game and understands the rivalry. 99 and LawGator both good hardcore rival fans that know from whence they speak.... and have earned much respect here.

Just wait until this season and you will understand how loud Neyland truly is in primetime. Last years OU game was so loud that I plugged my ears because it was so damn painful.
I'm making a speech to my section before the Florida game. I need to make sure the fans know how crucial this is for the program.

And I am sure that you as the ejected section captain will have their utmost attention. I would ignore you and most likely think you "special".

Oh I was there too. Both defenses took the day off. UT giving us two turnovers on our side of the field was the difference.

And that 4th quarter tropical storm sucked regardless of who you were cheering for.

I wasn't there, but it looked a little wet on tv😁

Oh boy, another one of these posts. I enjoy the game my way, you enjoy it yours. I pay to get in same as you.

We waded through nearly a foot of water to get back to the car. My boys were 6 and 7 and thought it was an adventure. Was a wet ass muggy drive back to Port St Lousy.
