2016 Election Thread Part Deux

It's pretty sad that we've reached the point in our country's history that a Presidential candidate now requires legions of riot police at his campaign rallies.

Yeah, probably has a lot to do with courts deciding that "speech" includes more than speech. Words may inflame, but they don't literally burn buildings, cars, flags, etc. But, hey, a burning building or cop car expresses rage so much better than than an illiterate trying to voice outrage.

Authoritarians who plan on using the power of big government to make things "great".

Both supported by bases that are extremely angry and feel disenfranchised.

Right. Of course.

Let me guess, you're going to tell us all about how the policies of Trump and Sanders are the same just like you did with Hillary and Rubio.

Flip flopping from McAfee to Johnson took 2 days huh?

I've actually been a Petersen supporter. The Vegas thing was a joke. But weren't you a Cruz supporter at one point? Or do I have you mistaken?

And it hasn't been two days. About 12 hours since Petersen lost

So we will just print our way out of debt?

And what is he talking about right here?

In a telephone interview with CNN's "New Day," Trump said he doesn't intend to to go out to creditors and renegotiate the debt.

"So here's the story, just to have it corrected. If we have an opportunity where interest rates go up and you can buy debt back at a discount, I always like to be able to do that, if you can do it, but that's all I was talking about," the presumptive nominee said.

Wait... while interest rates are going up, he's going to buy debt back at a discount??? First off, if rates are going up, explain to me how the US (the biggest debtor nation on the planet) would be ble to negotiate a lower rate? Next, rates are not going to get any lower than they are right now where we are tap dancing around ZIRP/NIRP. The FED raised rates by a quarter point in December and nearly ran the market off the rails by January. And lastly, hasn't a scheme similar to this already been tried with Operation Twist?

NEW YORK – The Obama administration continues to suppress at least 12 versions of a 451-page draft indictment charging Hillary Clinton with criminal misconduct in the Whitewater case, according to an index in the National Archives obtained in a Freedom of Information Act request by the Washington-based watchdog Judicial Watch.
One of the indictments specifically lists “overt acts” allegedly committed by the former first lady.

It follows Judicial Watch’s release on Jan. 28 of 246 pages of previously undisclosed internal memos from Ken Starr’s Office of Independent Council investigation in 1998. The memos showed prosecutors had evidence that Hillary Clinton and her associate Webb Hubbell at the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Arkansas, were guilty of criminal fraud in the Whitewater affair.

Hillary Clinton to be Indicted on Federal Racketeering Charges - U.S.POLITICS

James Comey and The FBI will present a recommendation to Loretta Lynch, Attorney General of the Department of Justice, that includes a cogent argument that the Clinton Foundation is an ongoing criminal enterprise engaged in money laundering and soliciting bribes in exchange for political, policy and legislative favors to individuals, corporations and even governments both foreign and domestic.

...

“The New York Times examined Bill Clinton’s relationship with a Canadian mining financier, Frank Giustra, who has donated millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation and sits on its board. Clinton, the story suggests, helped Giustra’s company secure a lucrative uranium-mining deal in Kazakhstan and in return received “a flow of cash” to the Clinton Foundation, including previously undisclosed donations from the company’s chairman totaling $2.35 million.”

In my best LG voice. "Hillary Clinton is probably guilty of poor judgement. In fact I may not vote for her in Nov. But Every time one of her lapses in judgement gets reported, you guys make the jump to criminal activity. She doesn't run the day to day activities of the Clinton Foundation. She probably didn't even know the details of these donations. I'm going to need to see solid evidence of wrongdoing, not an incomplete investigation from a fringe element of the FBI.

Yep, Hillary and Bill are just like a mafia boss can claim plausible deniability about the day to day operations of a criminal empire.

I'm confused. Your post, and the headline, says she will be indicted, but then you read it and it doesn't say that, at all.

The "article" is not sourced or its author identified. The website has no information on it that I can find as to who maintains it, or what its about.

You guys need to realize that anyone can create a blog and a website, and anonymously post something phrased as fact, when it really isn't. Its the ultimate in trolling. And you keep falling for it.

I didn't know the Huffington Post was considered a random blog where anyone can toss stuff up...

Poor poor little ol' fella. For someone that's not voting this year & doesn't care who wins you do a good job of crying in your beer a lot. You need to go get drunk & just forget all about Hillary & her fake corruption scandals as you put it. The way you're going you'll be banging your noggin against the nearest wall before too long.
