To Protect and to Serve II

This video was just released yesterday of a combative guy on drugs getting tasered several times and dying. I have mixed feelings about it...

Thoughts?

Go to the Newnan Times-Herald website to get a more complete story. I live in this county and it was big news when it happened. The chief at the time said the dude kicked one of the officers back into interstate traffic and other things that might change one's viewpoint. Tragedy all around.

I think the cops did most everything they could to keep all involved as safe as possible...

What? You still don't have the exact numbers like you said you would?

I offer you the number of 51. If it is a terrible environment if 51 law enforcement officers are killed each year, would you agree that 51 would be a terrible number for civilians as well?

I don't think those cops murdered the guy ...it wasnt pre meditated. I think the one in the car definitely killed him though.. manslaughter or something. He should be fired at the very least if not chaged with a crime. They must have training that teaches them that you can't just cook somebody with a taser...for 10 minutes straight. Also, putting tour body weight on top of somebody who is face down in the floorboard of a car and cannot talk to you...they should have not been cowards and got the man out of the car first and foremost...not tried to use a rental car as a means to contain a man. That was ridiculous...it's easy to say what you would have done when you are not there so I try not to do that. After all the Eric garner stuff you would think that they would do whatever they could to try not to choke somebody to death. Bad situation all the way aroind.

Where did his parents go? I don't know how they seemed to disappear. Dad was behind the rental talking to cops and mom was in the car...then as he was out and dying or dead they were just gone. Heard mom wailing when they FINALLY got him out of the car...way late...but they didn't go with the ambulance or anything...don't know where they went???

I think any time anyone loses their life unnecessarily is a tragedy.

The guy had been acting bizarre for several hours after using synthetic weed. The family called the cops if I understand correctly. I'm not sure what else the cops should have done. They weren't beating him ...,.. This one is a toss up. I think the drugs had a lot to do with this one.

Footloose?

So now dancing is a crime in the USSA?

Ras..... I have to give you credit..... You find and post the worst and most useless anti-cop videos. What exactly are we to discuss here? What was going on beforehand? We have no idea......

Just based on what you saw, the cops arrived on the scene are to presume innocent until proven guilty.

They came there and wrestled an obviously unarmed (or at least no threat) man to the ground and then sic dogs on him...

Obviously the courts thought the cops' actions were a bit excessive.

I guess we could discuss how the cops show up and just grab the guy and start assaulting him. We are still presumed innocent until proven guilty, right?

Yep, tax victims paid out 100k to the victim. Didn't say if the cops faced charges. I'm guessing they investigated themselves, and found no wrongdoing, as per usual.
