I am aware that all words are made up. The word homophobe was made up to make the person who doesn't accept homosexuality look like the bad guy.

My view on homosexuality, FWIW, is that people are free to do whatever they want if they both consent. I have no problem with that. None of my business. That does not mean that I have to think that is wonderful. It is just what they do. They are all kinds of people different from me.

I have a right to believe whatever I want, and I resent the hell out of someone calling me a name because of it, and trying to make me out to be a villain.

If you take the time to just read other discussions, you'll see a pattern. My vitriol increases as the counter arguments grow weaker. It's like a bloodlust for stupidity. I can't explain it. I think it was growing up in a poorly educated socioeconomic level and resenting my peers well into my teenage years.

I disagree on your last bit. I am a firm believer in the solution/problem route. You're one or the other, at least in matters like the one being discussed. It's about civil rights.

I'm grateful to my mother. She was smart, but she wasn't wealthy. Between the backwoods fundamentalists and the welfare children, I wasn't exactly surrounded by the healthiest social environment because any other option wasn't affordable between me and my sister.
