In sticking with the OP's request to not include the game results (which is hard to do because the result of the game has a ton to do with the experience) here are my 3:
1) 1991 UCLA. It was miserably hot that day. I think Smokey had a stroke and eventually died.
2) 2006 Bama. It was just a boring game. Neither team could get anything going.
Had a first date for a home game and walked from Lambda Chi Alpha house at end of Fraternity Row to Neyland. Didn't know poor gal had a slight disability so the walk took twice as long and by the time we were in the stadium, her poor feet were all bloody and stockings were ripped. Waited for stadium to empty before we made long journey back. We won the game though thank goodness!
The Dooley Missouri debacle when he played for OT and loss. I knew that was it. I was done and yelled at that whus and telling the entire world to fire him now. I would've yanked him off that field before the OT even started and coached them myself.
2003 Fresno State. Right in the middle of my time at UT.
First game of the year, pretty sure the temp was up in the 90s and kickoff was at 2 or 3. It was MISERABLE.
People falling out all over the place, student section was no different. Hydration was not something we were good at. Everyone was struggling.
About 6 minutes into the first quarter, one of the sorostitutes in the row behind us yaks up her vodka/cranberries and passes out. Not wanting to get removed, her "friends" decide to hide her and the puke for a while.
Once they realized she was seriously sick and in danger because of the heat (and constantly flashing her business while laying on the bleachers), they cleared out, exposing the fetid barf puddle to the full August sun.
UT was being stingy with water so we couldn't get a few cups to wash it away....so we spent the majority of the game smelling that mess roasting in the August sun.
Plus the game was a dud.
Go Vols.
The win over Florida in 1998. That was the most intense swing in attitude I've ever seen. In seconds, everything went from total elation to fear.
I was sitting on the outside row of sousaphones next to the stairs. Within seconds of Collins Cooper's kick failing, people started running down the stairs and grabbing at uniform parts trying to rip them off our bodies to keep as souvenirs. Those of us on the edge were having to fight from being pushed off our feet and into the rows in front of us.
At the bottom of the bleachers, the band directors' kids were huddled against the concrete wall as people vaulted over them to get to field level. Security tried to get to them to get them out but the crowd kept pushing and pushing and pushing.
After everything had died down and the Pride was released to head back, I ran into a group of Florida band members huddled together trying to find their way to their buses. Obscenities and spit were flying at them. I lowered my sousaphone bell between them and the most unruly group of heathens and escorted them out of Neyland. I was called a traitor more than once for helping.
That day made ashamed to be a Vol fan.
2014 Florida Game - literally threw up afterward, and had not been drinking.
Mine also... My 5 yr. old son said he would never watch a UT game again as we where walking out. And a lady told him she'd been saying that for years and it would be OK. It was a sad but priceless moment... Never give up..GBO
Back when there were ties, to me it seemed worse than a loss. For the record it's not as bad, but for the experience, seemed worse. That 26-26 tie to Auburn (maybe '90), wrecked me the most, I'm still not the same.
Any unpleasantness I've ever experience at Neyland has only been score related.
Going down memory lane, I can dig it.
2016 will be a year to remember. The year that started the Back to Back NC run.
Jump higher Vols.
PS. The bathrooms around NN don't have a baby changing table.

Rediculous call that stole our TD and kept us from blowing the game open. We were good enough that season to win the natty, except for that and Ainge getting injured later. I'm still pi$$ed about that call.
