NFL Draft expert has Dobbs rated only behind Watson and Rosen

I could see him ending up in San Fransisco next April. Chip Kelly's system would be a good environment for him to maximize his potential as a passer. Now what round he goes in is a total crapshoot, it all depends on his performance this year.

Wait, I thought you wanted Dobbs to win the Heisman? Now it sounds like you want him to lose the Heisman so he can be a great NFL QB. Which is it, sir? :pilot:

Wait, I thought most these draft experts are idiots. Just the ones who don't say what you want to hear?

If he has the year I think he will, he will be a first rounder..

We could possibly have 3 in the first IMO..

That is IF we have the season I think we will.

D4H cherry picks whatever source will prove his all knowing greatness. Also known as "let me just pick $H!T outta my A$$ and throw it against the wall to see what sticks".

If we win the national title, we will have AT LEAST 4 first rounders.

Dobbs, Sutton, Barnett, and Hurd. All 4 have first round talent. They just need the hype. Winning a national title provides the hype that got 5 Ohio State players drafted in the first round this year.

Dobbs is pretty much a clone of Deshaun Watson when it comes to skillset. And Watson is right now the consensus #1 pick in the 2017 draft. The only difference between the two is that Dobbs hasn't produced as consistently as Watson.

Dobbs best is as good as Watson's best (see Georgia 2015 and South Carolina 2014), its just not as consistent and he doesn't have the team success yet.

If Dobbs produces consistently in 2016 like Watson did in 2015 and if he has similar team success, he will go in the 1st round.

Now you're getting it. Those "experts" that agree with me are geniuses. And those "experts" that don't are idiots.

This is the part where you would come back and say the draft experts only get it right about 42% of the time, or something similarly ridiculous with no data to back it up.

I hope the guy is right though. And I am one of the people that likes Dobbs better than Kelly. The numbers don't hash that out yet, but I'm hoping this season is different.

Dobbs kills Kelly in the character / leadership / class department. You have to have the arm talent to be a successful NFL QB, but there are a lot of strong armed QB's who bombed out due to the other intangibles. Dobbs is athletic and appears to have adequate (not elite) arm strength. Like everyone else on this forum, I'm hoping Dobbs has an outstanding passing season such that he's a consensus 1st round prospect next year.

I like Dobbs more currently because of his intelligence and I think his arm is plenty strong. Just needs to be more consistent. He never threatened to shoot up a nightclub with his AK47 which gives him the edge over Kelly in my opinion. But it is the NFL. They may just give warnings for that.

Clemson claims to be WR U these days - that might be why Watson is better at passing

Can't read any article that might have been posited (ignored OP) but how did the "expert" rate Rosen above Dobbs? Rosen is a true sophomore this season.

I don't think he meant for the upcoming draft. Just pro potential.

I read another piece he did ranking the best 100 players in the NCAA for 2016. He has Dobbs number 8 making him near genius levels for D4H, but he has Jabril Peppers at 12 which clearly in D4H's eyes makes him a complete and total idiot.

Brady Quinn was supposed to go to Cleveland early in the 1st round. Didn't happen! North was to go to Pittsburgh in the 4th. Didn't happen! A. Foster was supposed to be drafted in 2008 but ended up be on the practice squad.
There are so many variables when it comes to the draft. Team needs, juniors declaring early, someone has a good junior season but a poor senior season, injury, off the field issues, coach claims the player is a mal content.
Heck, not even the best player in the draft gets drafted at #1. Suppose Indy has the 1st pick next season and the best player in the draft is a q.b. Well, since Indy is set at q.b with Luck, they will pass on the q.b. and draft a different position.
None of this is predictable!

So Alabama Qbs dont have talent ? Why are they all 5 stars then ? Cant wait for Bamawriter to counter this one
