Then the easiest thing for people like you to do is have our politicians have our military defend our border with Mexico as zealously as they defend the border between Syria and Turkey.

You need to be angry at your govt for taxing you more as a natural born citizen than a Mexican that just crossed the border with no resistance. Better yet, you need to be angry that the cops are not out here enforcing immigration laws as vigorously as they enforce seatbelt and tinted windows.

Or get angry at income tax in general and the fact that we all have to be "documented" so the Feds can ravage our income.

I think it's at the heart of this debate. People complain about illegals not paying income tax, when no one should be paying income tax. Then their idea for fixing the issue is more government expansion. It's absurd

I guess we basically see the problem from different angles. You think reform would resolve the problem, and I won't completely disagree. I don't think government reform (abolishing departments, reducing regulation, eliminating welfare and minimum wage, etc) will happen; so if that can't happen, then we have to enforce things like illegal immigration. Otherwise, it's like a football game in which one team is allowed only half its normal defense.

But it shouldn't be, as you pointed out. But again, most 'Muricans are not sophisticated enough to read beyond what FOXNews/CNBC/NYT/ABC tells them to read or see.

Then join me in supporting bringing our troops from the Middle East and Asia and putting them on our southern border and spending the money on the infrastructure to support them within our own borders instead of supporting other cities and towns around the world with the added revenue the military brings.

That's exactly what should be happening, but the Posse Comitatus Act probably makes it illegal. Another twisted regulation that prohibits doing the sensible.

Just a wall. No. Particularly not what we've been installing - the drug smugglers scaling it demonstrated the utter stupidity in it's design. The Berlin Wall was effective because it had a no man's land with mines and troops willing to shoot trespassers. But we both know the human rights types and libs would never allow that.

A) fix the system
Or
B) use land mines to kill innocent people

You pick b? Wtf? This is why I've said numerous time modern conservatives have no real values. They just vote for the biggest ass hole available.

Trump has no real vision or plan. He just stands on stage for awhile and says whatever ass hole thing comes to mind

Nope, if you tell someone that they don't have permission to cross a stretch of land and that it is mined, it becomes his problem. He had a choice and took the wrong one, went back home, or presented himself at a regular border crossing to be passed through or turned back as criteria fit.

You have trouble understanding the difference between management (me) who is a salaried, taxed, insured payroll employee of a major contractor and a subcontractor who provides his own workers and receives a 1099 at the end of the year as a second tier sub?

Your lack of understanding of the construction field, and the flow of cash within it doesn't surprise me. You aren't in this field. The vast majority of construction workers unless they are Yankees in a union work as subs, sometimes 3 or 4 tiers from the company that actually holds the contract for the project. Only the big names or management ever pay taxes in a legitimate way.
