Obama sustaining at just over 50 % for a few months, now.

Bush?

That's below 40 % for his last two years. And he ended at a dismal 22 %.

You're hardly being fair there marcus. This is a news story. A lot of people are interested. If you have a gripe take it to CNN.

It's a good lesson to learn. Obama stayed true to his political philosophy and even though he is not a good leader he will be supported by the public who agrees with him. Bush started off conservative, went moderate and expanded government programs, created new ones and was ultimately excoriated by his dwindling supporters for the bailouts. His opponents as well as original supporters disapproved.

Republicans are held to a higher standard by their constituents than are Democrats. All Dems have to do is act like they care, and keep the checks mailed out.

The left would be Obama cheerleaders regardless. They'd never admit his shortcomings for fear of being viewed as worse than Bush in any aspect.

Theyre as clueless as the Vanderbilt homers that said vandy would win the east.

And Bush doesn't have people who view him the same?

Private citizen Republicans do. Public prostitute Republicans do not.
Pretty much hammer hitting nail directly on the head. Republican politicians tend to lose support from their constituents when they don't do what they are elected to do, or at least put up some semblance of a fight.

Given who their nominee for President is going to be, I'm going to say "no".
They think, rightly or wrongly, that things may change. The other way wasn't working, so they are going with the Hail Mary this year.

The Bushes, Romney, Ryan, McCain, Graham, and others are proving that they don't freakin' get it. They don't care what their constituents want, never have, never will.

Seriously.

How badly have the salt of the earth types been alienated when they get behind a New York billionaire, with multiple divorces, and a loud, obnoxious mouth? Lol

No he did not. He went back on basically everything he promised except Obamacare.

Every President makes empty promises. Only a sycophant or a neophyte expects them to keep promises.

I'm more so taking about Bush claiming to be a compassionate conservative (supporters hope that means smaller g'mwnt) and increased government, spending and debt. Obama campaigns as a liberal (supporters hope that means increased spending and g'ment) and he increased government, spending and debt.
