Ridiculous statement but not surprising.
I understand Florida has had our number for several years but some of our fans acting like the Florida game only matters if we have a successful season or not, is pretty comical. Last time I checked, every game on our schedule matters. Just win for lords sake.
Which wins has Butch not gotten "full credit" for?
Sometimes Georgia. I remember before last season, people would say, "Well he hasn't beaten Florida, Georgia or Bama."
After we beat them, some resorted to calling Georgia a depleted team. Sure Chubb's injury was huge, but a change in the outcome of the game huge? We'll never know.

"Being in the hot seat", an expression for a high-pressure situation in which a great deal of attention and scrutiny is focused on a person or organization.
In an uncomfortable or embarrassing situation, usually by being subjected to severe criticism, with the potential for being fired.
Depends on how you define "hot seat," I think.
First definition I found was this:
If that's the definition to use, Butch and the program are definitely on the hot seat this year; expectations and scrutiny have not been this high in a decade.
But if this is the definition:
Then no, not at all.
Aside from the Title IX accusation, it's all positive at this point. All the scrutiny is of the "high expectations" variety. That's the kind of attention you want.
No, but explain to me why there hasn't been at least ONE win in 11 years? History plays a huge part in this sport. If it didn't then there would be no talk of rivalries.
Being featured on Sportscenter for choking away multiple big games, was uncomfortable for many. Did you sleep through last fall?
I agree. There certainly is a mental aspect to it. I'm sure we've went into the last couple of years thinking we were the better team...
Seriously. Mason is averaging a 3.5-8.5 season after 2 years. Are their expectations so low that 3.5 wins per season doesn't at least warm up their coach's "seat"?
Also, Miles was damn near fired last year and there's little doubt that plenty of the LSU power brokers still want him gone. He survived last year pretty much because of a popular fan and media uprising. While I certainly agree that Sumlin, Stoops and Malzahn, particularly Malzahn, are in trouble, how is Les not at the top of the list?
Barett. Sallee. Of SDS predicts that candy wins 3 sec games this year including against you guys and goes bowling at 6 and 6. He thinks candy finishes ahead of UK and misery. I hope not. I would rather see you guys beat candy and south Carolina for that matter...and of course fla. Seems like you guys have been close with the gators. For The last few years. Time to beat them.
