Standings through the top 6. TN can finish no worse than 6th and who knows - if they sweep Ole Miss and A&M can take one from Auburn, TN will finish 2nd. Florida should send a thank-you gift to TN.
Florida.........17-4
Auburn........15-5
Tennessee....14-6
Alabama......14-7
Kentucky......14-7
Missouri.......12-9
So basically we just have to match what UK and Bama does to get a bye?
They have done it for some non-televised midweek games in the past. But this is a nationally televised prime time game on the SEC network. I'm pretty sure that the SEC network has a lot of say on this matter, and fortunately or unfortunately the school administration likewise would rather have its game being broadcast live in front of national audience at the risk of having the game delayed/cancelled.
We can only hope that ESfreakin'PN does not have final say on when games are played. It was obvious a big storm was coming through--and therefore it was obvious that the game should have been scheduled for the afternoon to at least try and get it in. It was stupid, with auburn sitting around a hotel, not to do that--especially with forecasting and radar as good as it is now.
Why is this final game of the Auburn series not being made up? That makes no sense. Team are competing for positions in the SEC. What's the rules on this? All games should be played in my opinion no matter what.
It's like the SEC says oh well we just had a game rained out no big deal though because we're not even gonna make it up? :loco:.

If Bama and KY both sweep then we have to sweep too. Should be an exciting finishing weekend.
I can't find anything on the UT site about senior day over the weekend. No photos or videos. Does anybody have a link?
That has always been how it has worked in baseball and softball, this is nothing new. Rained out games are never made up. If a Friday or Saturday game is delayed, they will try to get it in over the weekend. But the SEC rule has always been that the games have to be played within the original three days.
That is why seeding and SEC standings are determined by winning percentage, to account for games that are cancelled due to weather.
