Sometimes the draft is based on needs. More teams need a proven QB than WRs. Why waste a draft on a WR if you can't even have a QB that can pass?

I think 5th round is more like it.

I don't think this is the case. Five WR have been drafted in the 5th round including West Alabama's Tyreek Hill.

If you're going to jump someone's ass over something, it's probably better to actually read the thread, and more specifically the most recent posts prior to the one you are going to rip on. You might just find there is more to the conversation than what you thought.

Two players that he loved in the draft.....Kelvin Taylor went in the 6th rd, something like the 211th pick. And, of course, Marquez went undrafted.

For future reference, he has both Dobbs and Hurd as sure fire first rounders next year. Lol.

North had great combine and pro day. Injuries and lack of film making plays is the reason others went ahead of him. Not on anyone but him

Fun* fact: The Dallas Cowboys drafted a Baylor basketball player in the 6th round who hasn't played organized football since he was 13.

This is not an indictment of North, but it speaks to where this program is coming from. I really hope he or some of the other guys can make an impact in the league and be ambassadors for UT.

Where someone goes in the draft is not a big deal to me. I do however trust my abilities to see talent. I'm confident my predictions on who can play and who can't at the next level will come true.

Barnett yes, possibly Sutton based on what a lot of the draft experts are currently projecting. Dobbs and Hurd first round though? Not very likely IMHO. A lot can change between now and then.
