All this option talk has me wanting to see us run for about 800 yards out of the veer on bama. Hurd, kamara, and Dobbs are perfect for it.

I personally feel with our running game we should've attacked with Play action a lot more on first down. And Wolf should've been the primary receiver on those plays.

Now this spread look of motioning the TE forces defenses to attack downhill immediately or get punched in the mouth by Hurd. Key is Dobbs can pull the ball at anytime and gash your defense. You also have the PA passing game which is what set Hurd up later in the game.

I think Hurd could go for more yards easily if we attack vertical with success more. Safeties and LBs won't be so fast to react to the running game. And against a team like Oklahoma, Hurd should've gotten 200 easily.

I think our strength this year is going to be our options. If I'm a defensive coordinator and I look up and see Dobbs, Hurd, Kamera, Wolf, Croom, P Williams and J Malone all in the game, I would crap in my pants. You could run practically anything with that lineup. Nobody will be able to defend us this year. Nobody! Except that would only leave us with 4 O linemen, but you get the picture.

If we beat Oklahoma and Florida, no way we lose to Arkansas. We were a demoralized team that night. After losing to Florida, the wind got taken from the team.

I think that was the only game last year they didn't give their all.

There's definitely something awesome about watching him run over people. That can be a lot more fun than watching running backs go around defenders.

I would press Williams and Malone and put 7-8 in the box. Our receivers have to prove themselves.

Too bad for Florida we'll be doing the same thing to them this year. Lol Wonder who'll win that war? And we should use Wolf to break down all the crowding the box. I also think Preston will show up early and often. Hopefully the coaches don't coach scary this year.

That's exactly what I was thinking. You can bet money that's what UF will do.

Florida game is a must win, I'm so sick of when the Florida-tn game is discussed by any talking head, the streak is brought up every 2 min .

I hope Callaway is being used by then. Kid has the speed to burn press coverage for big yards. He and Williams need to come in ready to play.

Alexis Johnson update seems positive. From the FF

Dustin Dopirak is reporting that Alexis Johnson's false imprisonment charge was dismissed. His aggravated assault charge was reduced to misdemeanor domestic assault. That charge, his attorney said, will be dismissed in six months without terms.

Do we really want a guy on the team that has a domestic assault on his record? Even if it's dismissed in 6 months?

Johnson is needed more in 2017 than 2016 (although we need him this year as well).

Bring him back and redshirt him this year. If we have disastrous injuries at DT he can play, otherwise he can be Danny O'Brien's replacement for next season.

I think they have to play him this year if he can give them quality snaps. Vickers, Obrien, McKenzie, Tuttle, Picou, and Johnson all being able to play would be huge for the defense IMO

Just playing devils advocate because I have really no idea what happened but what if he and girlfriend are playing around and he grabs her too forcefully and she gets upset. He steps in front of her to prevent her from leaving in an attempt to rectify the situation. Girlfriend remains mad and just wants to leave. After a couple of minutes he allows her to leave realizing she needs to cool off. Now all of a sudden there is a false imprisonment and assault charge from not letting her leave and grabbing her arm to forcefully while play fighting.

Not saying it went down that way but the way things get blown out of proportion a lot of times it would stink for that to cost the young man an opportunity to play football

How many years does he have to play? If it's 3 to play 2, we need him here through 2018. There's a chance every DT we have right now except Picou will be gone in 2018 (if KMack and Tuttle declare as juniors). Then we're basically looking at the OL situation from 2014 on the DL four years later.

No way Johnson is back before October 10th. Not with the lawsuit hanging over our heads. If he's cleared on the 10th, then he will need to "work his way back on to the team." Expect to see him in game action in early November.
