2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Bump

We need a president that has imaginary conversations with Eleanor Roosevelt and when all else fails, hit a reset button.

Oh wait.....

We just need someone handsome with good hair. I think I might run next cycle. I just have to figure out what to do with all of my ex girlfriends..

My biggest fear is Sanders. Followed by Clinton. Then trump. Then Cruz.

I've never been able to support a Pres candidate ever in my adult life. But there was usually a fall back.

This year they all suck. But please, please, please. Not Sanders....

... Or Clinton.

No problem. Let me Clinton them for you...

I'm being used by my union to woo the females in top executive positions in the FAA in regards to labor management relations right now in Atlanta.

At least thats what I have convinced myself they invited me here for...because it sure as hell wasn't for my award losing personality and misogyny!

The only reason I want to see Sanders in the general is to watch the epic meltdown from Hillary when she loses.

However, with that corrupt super delegate system they have, that won't happen. However, the two next best things would be an Indie run by Sanders or him refusing to endorse Clinton.

If Sanders has any hair on his shekels he will run independent..but seeing how he handles himself at his own speeches...I doubt it.

If I were him, I'd be so pissed I'd run out of spite. How are you going to win 8 out of 9 States and not collect their super delegates?

The Dems like to chuckle and point at the GOP Convention as being controversial (and it is to an extent), but that super delegate system is the most corrupt I've ever seen.

I don't want him anywhere near possibly completing his goal.

Splitting votes with Hillary? Awesome.

Im not up on election science or whatnot but it seems to me that the whole delegate thing spits in the face of what voters want. You shouldnt win a state but not win the delegates. Hell you could actually NOT win any state but still get more delegates.

And then of course a delegate can literally ignore the voters and just pick their own person. It is really a "spoils system" that still takes place in the US even though it was supposedly banned in the 1880's..

I can understand it from the GOP side, especially the proportional delegate counts. I'm not sure I entirely agree, but it is "fair" that above a certain percentage the candidates get some delegates. The convention is where the most controversy comes in.

But when you take the DNC way of doing business and it's so corrupt it's insane. Sanders won Washington State 73% to Hillary's 27%. Yet she pulled in all the super delegates from that State. You can't look at that as a voter and not say WTF is going on. In a year where the establishment is taking a beating, the DNC continues to give itself a black eye (no racist) by circumventing the voter's preference in a huge way.

I thought Sanders already said he would accept whoever is selected as the Democrat nominee and wouldn't run 3rd party.

I thought Trump said the same thing but I wouldn't believe him. Sanders however I would believe. I don't think he'd put himself before the party. His hardcore followers may still write him in but him running may easily cause a loss if only one of trump or Cruz runs. Although a Sanders, Clinton, Trump, Cruz election would be entertaining. Might even help Gary Johnson out.

I don't think regular media, in a one on one debate between Trump and Clinton, is going to put up with an hour of his grandiose promises with NO detail. He'll get smoked in the general. Empty suit.

Yeah but...can Clinton go an hour without a whooping cough fit?

Whatever you say Counselor.

Have you seen the exit polls? 70 percent of Clinton or Sanders supporters say they'd support the other if they were the nominee. The number is like half that among GOP for Trump. And that's people predisposed to prefer him any Republican.

Trump might win fewer electoral votes than Romney. And he might sink them in the Senate, too.
