2016 Election Thread Part Deux

How is that?

He pays you less than you produce. If you make $20 an hour then whatever you do is worth more than that and in most cases much more.

In a big corporation they pay all the dividends to the share holders.. all the bosses have crazy salaries with crazy bonuses.

All that money comes from you.. the worker.. your production. That's how capitalism works... you produce something.. get paid a tiny amount of your production... all the extra goes to the capitalists... doing none or very little of the production.

You are very undervalued in a capitalist system.

and the government is stealing from employers by forcing them to pay a matching part of the employee's social security contribution.

Need to take most of it from the employers and give it back to the worker who is actually producing.

Or even better make it a co op.

That may be the dumbest thing I have ever read

Don't like most of his policies but Bernie is pro second amendment. I also agree with him about citizens United needing to be overturned

As long as that includes all groups of any kind - corporate, union, religious, ... If you can't vote, you can't donate or raise money or promote a candidate or platform. Of course, the free speech crowd would be up in arms. Funny thing though, bet they'd agree on silencing corporations.

He called for an "assault weapons" ban. I'm not really sure he knows what he's talking about on the issue. But anyone looks reasonable on 2A issues next to Hillary.

Think about it. Hillary in a room full of people with guns should be as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. It's just a matter of time before she sets somebody off.

Greedy shareholders should invest their money and not expect a return on investment. If the greedy capitalist shareholders do recieve a return on investment, we should tax them double. We can't have people expecting to make a profit when they put their money at risk.

You think anybody could shut her up?

Probably not.

Yet again though, this is another "debate" by CNN in which the candidates got out of control. And the moderators were powerless to put a stop to it. Just like I said during the GOP debates, if the mods were serious about shutting people up, they'd put in a power kill switch on the microphones and shut them off when candidates went seriously over time and/or were trying to talk over the others.

Most aren't and that's why we will be dealing with bigger problems. They threw credit at it in the 70's to fix the problem(people could borrow so they could buy) and we see how that turned out. Be interesting to see what they throw at it this time. It's only going to get worse cause nobody goes to the source of the problem... capitalism is too sacred of an idea even if it is killing you.

You don't agree that smaller government, reduced taxes on businesses won't bring back jobs and help the economy? But you think more government with more taxes and regulations will?

Capitalism brings prosperity. Socialism (or what Bernie calls socialism, at least) is just a way of managing it. It "works" when you're sitting on a pile of wealth due to natural resources, free market policies, or exorbitant taxes, like Norway or Denmark. Venezuela and Greece know what it's like when you aren't.

There is no way Americans will accept that kind of tax burden.
Why not? We accept the abortion that is the current tax code without any protest.

There are better ways to bring back jobs from over seas. Tax incentives for companies who maintain 90% of their manufacturing and work force in the United States. Just to name one. But, changing what this country was built on isn't one I'm willing to do.
As long as the socialists have their paws on one branch of the government, and we have a limp dick as Speaker of the House, this will not happen. Anyone with any common sense knows that we need to relax tax law, but it ain't gonna happen. And they all stand in amazement when inversions occur. As a shareholder in certain companies, I am all for inversions if they save my companies from being robbed.

Why does the tax code have to be punitive?

Your employer is stealing from you everyday you go to work...
True, but they are merely acting as the leg breakers for the .gov. THAT should come to a stop. But delinquencies for taxation would skyrocket if it weren't automatically taken from you. And after re-reading your post, I realized you are talking about the spending part of the equation. Sorry.

better yet, we should have the gov't force people to have to invest money in businesses and not expect a return on the money, because that's greedy mmmkay

But the worker would be unemployed if it weren't for the investors and big bosses who took the risk.

Those actions will likely be taken but my guess is it will be when debt becomes so burdensome they have no option but to force it from the public to keep things going a little longer.

Savings accounts will be targeted, 401ks will be targeted, certain payscales will be targeted. Probably some more creative manipulations also. Like 401ks will have to have a certain percentage of treasuries.

You do realize that most people work for small businesses, and that most small business owners don't make "crazy salaries with crazy bonuses," nor do they pay any "dividends to the share holders," correct?

I wonder how old Super Dave is. He apparently remembers Super Dave Osborne, and that has to go back 40 years. He is either an old hippie, or some young communist who has been brainwashed by old hippies.
