The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

On a second look...

Cuse has done very well with the opportunity they received. They had been the survivor of a broken bracket, but now they have also beaten a 1. But, their performance in the tournament doesn't change their resume before the tournament.

Vandy vs South Carolina to open the 2016 season on Thursday, Sept. 1, will be fun.

Either Mason opens his third season in a row with a turd of a game, or Muschamp opens his coaching tenure at South Carolina with a loss to Vandy.

I'm sorry, and this is a terrible thread for this.... but I would love a Vandy victory in this one.

I am sure a lot of points will be scored in that game.

talk about a snooze fest, at least we know who will "Anchor Down" the bottom of the SEC after that one.

Ha! Vandy only got to the tournament because of a blunder on South Carolina's part.

NCAA extended South Carolina invitation to tournament, but never called back, report says | AL.com

??

Where did it say SC made a blunder? It said the NCAA contacted SC and said they were getting an invite and that they'd call SC in 10 minutes. Then they never called back and later said they made a mistake in contacting them in the first place.

According this artcle, SC was never in.

Ah, I see. I misunderstood the "never called back" thing. I thought the article was saying South Carolina never returned the call to the NCAA so they had to default to the next team.

They seem to think he's a better hire than Gregg Marshall.

For once, Vandy got it right, or just got lucky.

Stallings was getting them nowhere. Also, he was progressively becoming a nightmare to what little image they have. So, they let Pitt take him off their hands, which is one of the strangest coaching moves of all time.

They get it done without paying a buyout, and get a young up and coming guy out of Valpo to move forward. So, they walk away from this change looking pretty smart, lucky, or both.

But to call him a better hire than Marshall? Vandy is getting carried away with themselves on that. In truth, they could not get Marshall, so whoever they end up with is all of a sudden better than Marshall. Typical Vanderbilt spin. Their fans are full of crap, but today at least, their AD is sitting back in his office looking like a 21st century version of King Solomon.

And he needs to send the Pitt AD a big bottle of Jack Daniel's or George Dickel's best blend (his choice) this Christmas as a thank you. Unless of course the witness relocation guys have him hidden from the more passionate and less forgiving members of the Panther fan base. He might want to send it today.

Good for Vandy, lots of good coaches in the SEC. Now if the league can just step it up and have several 26+ game winners

Well they just refound one of their players guilty for the rape case.\

Jury finds ex-Vanderbilt player Cory Batey guilty of rape, sexual battery

and it points out some seriously messed up crap. They sent the video to other players while it happened, and afterwards several players admitted to seeing her naked and passed out in the hall. They knew and did jack. I consider this one linked case way worse than the bunch of individual cases we have.

oh my gosh reading that stuff gets my blood pressure up.

they have a thread about how in the conference realignment we should bring back Tech and Tulane. I wonder why they want to more teams they can lose to regularly?

They must have a desire to suck even more.
