The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Earnhardt's death sped up the process. The sport lost arguably its biggest icon at its biggest event.

That's what I'm saying. There were others of course that passed due to on track incidences but it took them losing the biggest name in the sport to really make the improvements start happening.

I'd like to make a call to Ricky Stenhouse. He's shown a lot of speed early on, and it looks like his team has finally figured things out. It won't be long until he jumps into the B group.

The next time somebody hits the SAFER barrier hard at an akward angle, you can thank the University of Nebraska and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Or you can just pretend like NASCAR invented everything, because that's what's NASCAR wants you to believe anyway.

I don't care who invented what, just glad they have them.

Chase is definitely doing his own thing.

Is anyone familiar with the Decker girls? Claire and Paige , sisters, and Natalie the cousin?

Beautiful. I'm sure Nerd is familiar with them.

Kyle Busch wins another non-Cup Series race!

When will NASCAR step in and stop this!? The Sprint Cup Champ should not be running in the Truck Series!

In 8 Xfinity & Truck races in 2016 Kyle Busch has won half of them!

NASCAR will step in and stop this when they decide they want fans and sponsors to stop showing up for the races.

They won't. Plus, he's racing his own stuff.

I don't watch an Xfinity & Truck race hoping a Cup guy wins! It's supposed to be for the up & coming drivers!

I think they should limit it somehow.

NASCAR wants what's best for the sport. Wouldn't it have been better to have some of those 17-20 year olds battling for the win than the current Cup Champ leading the most laps and if not for the late cautions probably would have run away with it.

I'm also a bit disappointed that the broadcast (I admit I may have missed it) didn't at least talk a little about the Decker sisters making the race Paige, 23 & Claire, 21!

It's a pretty easy concept. Sponsors pick who drive because sponsors have the money. No sponsors = no money. No money = no NASCAR.
