Is Pearl picking up a subtle southern accent?

I am listening to Vol Calls (I know... it's terrible), and he seems to have developed a very subtle southern drawl with some words. It's weird. I've never noticed it before.

I haven't noticed a southern accent, but he doesn't sound like a Yankee either.

No. I'm sitting in the Library right now with no music, so I have been listening to the Sports Animal online for the past couple of hours. No one has asked a question about it. Someone did ask about Daniel West and Jimmy Hyams had 0 idea of who he was asking about. I laughed

Lets just hope he continues to say nothing about the "rumors" or that he just comes out and says that they are in no academic trouble and everything is just a rumor.

I have a friend that lived in New York City for the first 14 years of their life and now at 18 sound nearly exactly like us. When she goes home people can tell she lives in the south

when I was in 8th grade there was a girl who moved to Denver (where I lived at the time) from Britain. She had the best accent in the world. It eventually started to fade hardcore. I was very sad.
