Someone should point out that the sagging zone had three players draped around the low post so passing in there would result in a turn over.Any team playing a zone pretty well shuts the Lady Vols down.....it happened in all 14 losses this year and has been pointed out at least 150 times in posts on this board.

We were missing the player ( Reynolds) that made a difference in our ball security once she took over the pg position. Without her, the LV's reverted back to their old ways today against a team that was hitting 50% of their 3 point shots and scored 45 points from beyond the arc. Only UConn will be able to overcome that pe of shooting but I doubt Syracuse will shoot that well against Washington.

They wouldn't have fired her even if the team had missed the tournament.

Now we are stuck with her for a decade. The only thing we can hope for in the future is a Cuonzo Martin situation where somebody pays us to take her.

I doubt that Syracuse will be that hot behind the 3 line in the next two years but they were tonite and it was the difference in the game .....it demoralized the Lady Vols and imo resulted in turn overs by the LV's in 3rd and 4th Qtr's due to lack of focus against Syracuse press and double teaming.

Just got rid of a whole season's worth of recorded games. Won't be wasting any more time watching this wasted year.

Pat's can be understood, Holly has no excuse was my point. Also IMO during the decline it appeared that Holly was already calling most of the shots.

Holly's probably here as long as Hart is. She's unimaginative and change-resistant, so what we've seen is what we'll continue to get. Bad coaching hires can set a program back years-- as UT has continually demonstrated in every major sport.

When the blue hairs die off, the Lady Vols won't even be able to sell that gym out until UT chooses to prioritize winning championships over keeping it in the family.

Cooper has physical talent and that`s it Tenn needs a pg that can defend, shoot and play under control. Alexis Peterson is smaller then Cooper and had her way with Cooper.

That Cuse team can shoot the ball........that one girl was stepping back and raining 3s down while the LVs were struggling to hit layups.

Can;'t shoot the ball if you can't get the ball//// We didn't play off-the-ball defense. Waited until the opponent got the ball and then swarmed her... Nogood for a shooters team.... HW should have stayed with man and locked down the scorers OFF THE BALL... Also, when they DO get the ball and they pick up their dribble... Close them out right them. If you don't close out the BH and you don't play off-the-ball D, you WILL get burned

My message for Cooper if you played any defense on the player you are guarding you would not have been is that situation.

I would guess that Cooper is repeating what she heard from the coaching staff as they tried to "figure out" what the hell to do.......speaks volumes about the ability of this staff
