I don't know but he may steal Martin's spot. Evan Berry will be hard to keep off the field. His range is silly. Secondary is loaded and there isn't much dropoff anywhere. Funny thing is Martin may end up our best CB if he plays up to his athleticism. And if Sutton returns to his Soph form he'll be the best player on our defense. TKjr may lead the league in picks being a full time starter. He baits QBs better than most safeties I've seen. Now you see this good problem we have. 😁

Byrd will probably end up like Abernathy playing everywhere with great success.

I'm more excited than I've ever been as a Vol fan over this secondary. And I'm coming to the O/W game for sure this year. 😁

Sorry but I don't see much in Abernathy. Good effort player but not star potential.

Berry also lacks great instincts for the position eventhough he's a silly athlete. I think he might be Devin Hester 2.0. A great returner without a position.

I've yet to see Gaulden so I'm not buying into him 100% yet.

Our best players in the secondary will be: Sutton, Martin, Griffin, and Byrd. They have the best combination of athleticism and instincts.

TKjr is solid but not special.

So Shoop has said he's been most impressed with Abernathy but you don't see much in him... LOL

If you watched the interview he pretty much named everyone on the defense.

I hope Abernathy becomes a star. I'm simply going off what I saw last year. Decent player but not special.

Wrong.
Shoop-
“The guy on the back end that’s made the strongest impression and has been very productive has been Micah Abernathy,” Shoop said Thursday. “I really think through the first two days he’s been the most consistent performer maybe on the entire unit. He’s been productive, very attentive - he pays a tremendous attention to detail and has been very precise in his techniques and fundamentals. It’s been really impressive."

I don't know why, but suddenly I'm CONVINCED that Abernathy is going to be the shiznit! :superman:

Nick, you're in Thailand. You can walk up to the factory where said textiles are made for 10 cents, spend 50 bucks and have the entire line. Heck for 1000 USD you could probably buy the factory. :)

Seriously, Nike actually has 73 factories in Thailand and the Thai textile and garment industry is one of the largest in the world.

If only it was that easy :)

I know a ton of it is made here. What is actually in the stores is not quite as nice as the US, really expensive, and Asian sizing.

I have a bit of Nike, mostly from EBay, at 20% of the new price. Get some new threads every couple of years

We'll just have to agree to disagree. :)

I will also add, we need to beat A&M as well to ensure that if we do drop UGA or Florida and don't beat Bama, we still are in the running. There are certainly 3 SEC games on each of their schedules they can drop so we don't lose a tiebreaker for 1st.

Imo, we can afford to lose two SEC games and still have a decent chance to make it to Atlanta. At least one has to be to a west team though.

So you don't buy Gaulden because you haven't seen him play, but you can predict that Byrd (who you also haven't seen play) will be one of our 4 best players in the secondary in 2016?

Go follow BreakerBoy's posts about Abernathy. 😂😂😂😂😂

He wasn't a hard one to see. Evan Berry leaves everyone on kick returns but No.3 in Orange. And he goes and punishes people as a blocker. Also was solid late in the year in coverage. Foreman got better as a result of him being on his heels. Kid is going to be a STUD period.

Stop quoting him, none of the freshmen will start this year on the backend and it's a good thing.

Also TKjr is a dog on defense. Evan Berry will be another dog. Gaulden is a dog as well. That's why Sutton was wearing his number. Foreman, Martin, and Abernathy are dogs as well. None of the freshmen will start in the secondary and for good reason. We are loaded on the back end. 😁
