For two thousand miles?

And thanks for giving an answer. I know others on here that blindly follow Trump can't and won't answer.

We're going to build it in three weeks. And the Mexicans are going to build it for us. It's going to be a great wall, I can tell you that. You people are going to love it.

Trump killed it at the huge rally in Cleveland.

Chicago is without a doubt a sh!thole.

The SILENT MAJORITY stands with Trump.

FWIW I loved my experience in Chicago a couple summers ago. Outside of checking out the University of Chicago, I didn't really see much of the southside. I stayed mostly in downtown which was very impressive. Fantastic history and architecture. Very vibrant as well.

One of my favorite cities in all of the U.S. I love going there.

How can anyone answer that question unless they're an expert in construction and government projects?

Trump appears not to be. There is no chance that this thing gets built. Too many hurdles - cost, environmental studies, legal issues, congressional opposition, etc. I'm all for border security but a wall is not a cure-all project.

It's pretty much his Gitmo.

Agreed. Chicago is a beautiful place and probably my favorite of the huge US cities.

The segregation, though, is ugly. The juxtaposition between the different areas is striking.

Maybe so. But at least he's got people actually talking about a major issue this country has.
Now can we build one? Absolutely. Will people get in the way and try and stop it? Of course and they'll make up many reasons to try and stop it.

Did anyone ever figure out how Bernie beat Hillary in Michigan despite being down by 20 points in the polls.

Polls have been off all this year. Remember all the polls had Trump winning Iowa. He LOST. All the polls had Trump winning big in Louisiana. He barely win by 3.

None were as off as the Michigan race. But I've started to discount polls this year. Too many folks that never voted before are coming out this year so the pollsters are having problems making the likely voter models.

A wall was already approved by congress a decade ago. Very few people have the will to actually fund it.

Claiming impossibility is a tactic used to tamp down people's will to do something. Reminds me of the drill at home crowd for decades. Can't be done. Will take too long. On and on.

One of the reasons trump resonates with a lot of voters is his can do attitude. People are naturally drawn to others with a positive outlook on life and the ability of others.

You mean you aren't drawn to the original angry old curmudgeon Bernie, or the shrill voiced, angry Hillary?

I'm not personally drawn to trump, but I have talked to a lot of people from both sides of the aisle that are.

I just get tired of the leftist tactics being used to try and bring him down. It especially grinds my ass that Cruz and Rubio are piling on instead of taking him on with issues.

Trump is a lot of things but I don't believe he is a racist and I don't believe he advocates or is responsible for violence.

And the different standards applied by the media to anyone on the right side of the aisle is ridiculous. Their organized mobs of leftists and the consequences of those mobs are always always rationalized. They blame the messenger while making heroes of the mob. We're getting to the point where if one offends the leftists, we are expected to rationalize and look the other way when the mob gets violent. I don't like it.

Now you're understanding the Black Lies Matter movement. It's taken far too long.

Taken far too long? What are you talking about? I've never advocated for their tactics.

You Trumpers are doing exactly what I expected you to do: you've created the atmosphere of hate and violence, have gotten smacked upside the head as happens to any bully eventually, and now you're all crying about how unfair things are and how mean everybody is to you. Now you're all trying to fill your martyrdom complexes, and it is very unbecoming of you.

Trump wants you, me, everyone hating, and now that he has achieved that, you're all stunned for some reason and can't understand what all the commotion is about.

As much as I don't want to see Trump as POTUS, I can't help but agree with him on some things. America's badly needed infrastructure updates, one sided trade deals dating back to the Clinton Administration, the dangers of huge Super Pacs and dark money that goes into elections, Letting Russia deal with Syria, etc. I wish he would let off the immigration agenda, as there are much more immediate issues to deal with IMO.

I hope whoever is elected president will take on some of these issues.

The Democrat/Republican establishment power structure wants it the way it is, as far as the trade deals, Super Pacs, and immigration are concerned. It will remain as is without Trump. That is why the opposition is getting stirred up by both parties.

What happened to the left believing in free speech? The left in this country becomes more pathetic every day.

I agree that the Left has numerous problems, many of them troubling as far as free speech and other freedoms are concerned. You are right to take them to task.

But do you all just sleep through Trump rallies and only wake up for the part where he says something incoherent about "winning," or something? It's like some of you haven't paid attention to a word he's said (albeit sometimes indirectly) about the Constitution, our rights, and the use of violence.

He's said things that have only been echoed by the Far Right and the Far Left in this country, yet, for some reason, his supporters treat him like some serious candidate for president who is going to restore our freedoms. In fact, if you indeed take him seriously, he's said the exact opposite.

It boggles my mind that some people either cannot or refuse to see this part of Trump and his supporters.

I hope you're wrong, but I don't see any candidates (besides Bernie, but there's problems there too) making these changes.

God, I just wish it was someone else besides Trump.
