I've been away from things the last couple weeks, what happened at Illinois. I know they have the interim the HC title a while back.

PJ Fleck is going to be a heck of a HC somewhere. I've been beating that drum for a while (and patting my own back obviously lol!)

Just looked it up, and no, the new AD, Josh Whitman, is an Illinois grad. Impressive resume, only 37, he's already got some solid AD experience. Was a TE at Illinois and in NFL. I can def see him going after Fleck since they have very similar backgrounds and Fleck is on the youngish side as well.

As unpopular as that move may have been to some, that was a very smart move on his part.

So the new AD on his first active day fired the recently promoted HC, who hasn't even coached a game yet?

Cubit, the HC, was interim all last year.

Edit: it was a dumb removal of interim tag by chancellor, not an AD, when the guy showed nothing special...

Saw on the twitter sticky that Jaden Hunter, a LB from GA, came to our junior day wearing UGA gear to recruit for them. I guess the puppies will do anything these days. That's one LB that's taken too many shots to the head.
