It seems like the offers are coming in at a real high rate. Is this consistent with this time of the year? Seems like a lot more than in previous years. With such a strong in-state class for 2017, I am a bit surprised at the large number of out-of-state offers.

Well, obviously, I can't quote him verbatim, but while he defended the coaches, program and culture quite well when he spoke with Pawwwwl, on Swain's show his comments were construed by many to basically be, "you support and defend your teammate at all costs and regardless of the facts and circumstances of the situation." In other words, even if you think your teammate committed a serious crime, you support and defend your teammate regardless.

I don't know if that's what he meant or not (Swain and Walls claim that's not what he was saying), but that is definitely the only way you could have taken his comments. And Stokes was quite indignant about the comments...I thought he might walk off the set.

Great start to the season. There is a series with UC - Irvine coming up and the SEC will be brutal as usual, but I am more optimistic after seeing the bats so far this year. I do hate the Kyle Serrano is done for the year. Hopefully, he will be ok after surgery and we have the pitching depth to make up for that loss.

Tomorrow will be tough too. Maryland's ace is a stud. So is the ECU pitcher we will see Saturday.

John Brice just said that there is an email circulating that says Susan Martin will step down as Provost and return to the classroom.

Don't know what is driving it, but it means 2 things imo:

1. She is moving away from a position of power (Good for us)
2. She is no longer in line to replace Cheek (Great for us)
