You sound like a man who's worried that hundreds of thousands of Muslim refugees are going to sail across 4,000 miles of ocean just so they can dock all their dinghies right at your beach house in Myrtle.

Your hero has invited 100k of them over here. They don't need a boat. Meanwhile middle America is struggling and your party wants to make it harder for them

Everyone complains about how DC operates then finally someone comes in and goes after both parties and now people don't like him for that, isn't that what most of us wanted?

Everyone liked McCain and Dole, how did those work for us?

Dole was not universally liked. Pat Buchanan won 3 states and then the media drummed up a fake story about his teenage days.

I believe you have me mistaken for someone else.

Meanwhile, in the real world, more Americans die here yearly from lawnmower-related accidents than to Islamic terrorism, but there's no denying that a screaming Jihadi with a severed head somewhere in the Middle East sells fear a lot more to the average American than an image of a person with a lawnmower tipped over on him on the side of a steep hill.

You still have a duty to vote, regardless who for and you are more than welcome to write in.

I think I'll follow GV's lead and write in Foghorn. GV is consistent in that when he's not arguing with me or I've judged his opinions as not wrong, he's usually right.

Viva la Foghorn.

I don't think I've argued with you in a while. As of late, I find myself agreeing with you on several things. Scary stuff.

I used to feel the same way but now I feel if a person isn't willing to take the time to learn at least a little about the candidates its probably better they don't vote.

Taking the time to learn about each candidate and do your own research is part of that duty. It's an old fashioned way of thinking, but something that I have always believed in.

With the possibility of sounding uptight, I don't find it funny. JMO

It is possible for a president to stand on his principles and still work with his opposition to pass his policies, many have.

With the majority of the GOP and all the Dems despising Cruz, how do you think he can get any of his policies through Congress?

Why back someone that policy stances you support when that candidate cannot get those policies passed?

I agree but unfortunately many don't/won't take the time and it's probably better they sit on the sidelines until they're ready. If the public was really paying attention and doing their due diligence on the candidates the only vote Hillary would be involved in is whether to indict.

I understand where you're coming from though. However, when neither candidate has anything to offer (say a Trump-Hillary match up) then the third party can be looked at.

When that fails, what recourse does one have? Vote for the lesser of two evils?

<RANT> Voting at Vol State CC is a total cluster ****! No parking due to the construction taking place and oh yeah students. No signs explaining which line is for what and of course the blue hairs trying to work laptops!

Relax bro, Imma vote, especially if it's this. I'm down for the Trump/Palin ticket. Like Def Leppard said, "it's better to flame out, than to fade away."
