Just a little argumentative at times.We all know it and you know it.So some where in the middle should be a happy median for all.I do think you bring some good stuff to the board also.If your not a lawyer right now maybe a change in career would help.:)

Did anyone see where Nkemdiche threw his teammate, Tunsil, under the bus when he was being asked about the incident in the hotel room in ATL? I think he said something about he was drunk and that Tunsil was in the room with him.

I deal in civil cases on a daily basis. Tennessee is a modified comparative negligence state meaning that if you are found to be 50% liable for whatever the tort action is you are barred from recovery. You can be 49% at fault and your recovery be reduced by that percentage. The plaintiff attorneys want it to settle however I'm sure they could prove Tennessee a % at fault in the courtroom which would still get each person a little money and I bet the headlines would read "victims win case against UT."

This is a major flaw in our judicial system...If the criminal court finds you innocent....how can a lesser court order you to pay millions? I don't even pretend to entertain the fact that this makes sense. #REFORM

I'm pretty clear of the difference between guilt and liability and the need to distinguish between the two for a fair criminal justice system.

But I get just as annoyed by the ones that argue back and the ones that feel the need to call him out, like that's going to change anything. First, a criminal court doesn't have to find you innocent to be acquitted. They have to find you not guilty, and there is a distinction. Second, there isn't a "lesser court." It's simply a civil court as opposed to a criminal court, and the suit in civil court alleges a different cause of action (i.e. Title IX violation) instead of a crime. Different burdens, different proof. A criminal result will almost never determine the outcome of a civil case.
