Seriously that guy is a student?

He looks like he's in his late 40's.

Just finished up my 25 year in college. Only 18 more to go. Fingers crossed

Here are those "protestors" that pushed some over the edge.

Lulz is that a superman sign?

The people closest to the situation (current/former players, administration, other coaches) all coming out in support of the culture issue tells me all I need to know.

The ones screeching the loudest about misconduct are the ones furthest from the situation. They just have a bigger platform.

You harp all over it and make it one of the cruxes of your know-it-all rants...that's what the f*** I'm talking about! :yu:

I haven't said one word negatively about 56. I love the kid

My talk about his assault is what it means for cbj if he didn't handle it correctly

Lockerroom fights don't bother me one bit it's the left wing politically correct tree hugging bs that it matters to

For you people in the legal field, what is the timeline of this? Where would it be tried? Who determines when there will be a trial? How long are the plaintiffs able to amend the suit they've filed? Etc., etc., etc...

Once UT answers the complaint, the court will set a scheduling conference where the parties will essentially out the case on a schedule. This will include deadlines to file preliminary motions, deadlines for discovery (i.e. Depositions), and deadlines for motions to dismiss. Then, it will set a trial date. These deadlines all depend on the complexity of the case. Also, these deadlines are subject to be changed by the court based on the parties' progress. It is not unusual for cases like this to take a couple of years or more.

Sounds like you're the one bleeding. Haven't even heard about plaintiffs preaching that angle as a harbinger of doom...just you Bunky. :)

Thanks! Does UT have a date by which they must answer the complaint? Selfishly, I'm just looking forward to the time when UT and/or their counsel can respond to some of this nonsense.

I doubt "tree huggers" give a sh%t about football.

Well..I haven't gotten involved in this discussion yet, just a lurker. Think it's time for me to release some frustration.

In regards to this Butch alleged calling Bowles a traitor, that is total horsecrap. When he made his statement last night, I believed every word he said. I support him 100% and what he is building here at UT. He has worked his A$$ off to get UT back to where they're at now with even bigger things to come. I swear some people are just determined to bring UT down.:realmad:

21 days in federal court. It's a Title IX lawsuit, so I assume it's in federal court. 30 days in Tennessee state court.

Unless the school includes an affirmative defense under the law, you won't get much information from their answer. All you simply have to do is "Admit" or "Deny" each allegation.

Statement to police is the same thing IMO

If they have produced a police record that says Maggitt admitted to it, that's one thing. If someone said, I heard Maggitt admit to police he did it and nothing happened, that is something different. Either of those scenarios could have led to the statement being in the lawsuit.
