The fact that there was no discipline is an issue.

What if they didn't do anything?

Lowe reported this morning the university conducted an independent investigation in how this was handled by Jones. They (university) and Bowles according to Lowe were satisfied how Jones handled the situation.

To be fair, 56 May have punched Bowles in the mouth and that was the end of it. I know not ideal but Bowles may have (unable to make a guilty or innocent ruling) basically helped frame up AJ for a rape 56 thought and had been told was total bs. Way worse has happened in football locker room and 99.99 percent of the time they won't prosecute that if not pursued by the other side. If AJ is innocent (big if) then not sure I can even blame 56.

A civil lawsuit does not have to have one single fact in it what so ever. The job of the attorney is to paint the most horrific picture possible. Citing the lawsuit that was issued to Tennessee is far from stating facts. It is how one side interpreted what happened.

Keep it up, guys. JSP is going to have the entire original trilogy posted before long.

It's a nice distraction. Gotta work on that chronological order though.

Perhaps our lawyer friends can clear this up but I am guessing it would be extremely frowned upon for a lawyer to place police testimony in an lawsuit document that was only speculation. That would have to be fact IMO

You're guessing wrong. This is a civil case. Facts are not a priority. Shock value is.

How do we know there was no discipline?

Locker room fights happen. Maybe Maggit ran laps.

This is where the law isn't on our side

Law states if a Student is assaults reports and protocol have to be followed

I know lockerroom things happen and that seems stupid to report something like this but this isn't a normal case. Unless jones reported this to school officials he is in hot water here for sure

He did! Or someone did. It was investigated by the school "outside of athletics."

You're a lawyer, correct?

Have you ever been sued before?

There is zero chance a lawyer in a civil suit can state as fact a police record that is a lie

Zero chance unless they want to be disbarred

Remember they are saying 56 admitted to the police he committed this assault.

If maggit got suspended, kicked off the team, or jail time for a fight in the locker room, then every football team would be sitting out the season. Fights happen throughout the season in the locker room. Big Albert shoved alex walls over the bench in the locker room the week of the bama game, and cj landed a punch on big al. That is typical in a locker room.
