Within a month or two they'll run out of headline grabbing things to release. By football season, this will likely all be a footnote at the bottom of a great season.


Win and all is forgiven and forgotten. Look at FSU.

Absolutely, not disagreeing with you at all. The are all types of A holes, male/female, black/white, rich/poor. Can't stand when people have selfish motivations that impact the whole.

Not all lawyers are bad obviously.

But there should be no denying IMO that something needs to be done about our overly litigious society. It needs to be reined in somehow. Irresponsible lawsuits can ruin people's lives and reputations and careers. And it drives up costs (Such as in medical costs).

I'm about tired of this case talk. Stupidity at its finest by someone who doesn't want to work for a living. Fake accusers should be sent to jail period. That'll stop all these BS cases.

I know the court system is slow, but if there were any heavy facts/evidence, I have to believe the AJ and Williams case would be over by now.... I think if they are proven innocent, this all goes away quickly... there are so many holes in every bit of this from the girl being Bowles Ex, to both their stories constantly changing, to Manning's crazy a$$ accuser filing 30 some odd sexual misconduct cases between 90-96, and UT's legal team holding steadfast that they did nothing wrong and the facts will come out, this has got to all come to a favorable end, but the media is winning the battle of tarnishing our look and reputation... guilty of everything until proven innocent. The latest ESPN article literally states Jones called Bowles a traitor like it was a proven documented fact, then towards the end, inserts Jones defending that he did nothing to the sort... pitiful.

I'm not seeing what you are fretting over.

Maggitt was rehabbing and wasn't even practicing at the time. What did you want Jones to do? Boot him for getting into a scuffle? Make him write sentences as punishment? Are we supposed to suspend every player who gets into it with another player now?

Obviously Maggitt and AJ were close. I'm sure CM thought he was just backing his friend.

Like I said earlier, Basilio has went on record saying he knows for a fact that Butch Jones called a team meeting to address the issues around Bowles issue a hedge of protection around him. Chris Low has said that Bowles told UT judicial affairs that Butch handled situation properly.

Bowles is on record through media and UT judicial committee as saying he wasn't assaulted. A lawyer worth his salt will eat him a I've for conflicting stories.

Meanwhile, Butch is meticulous. He brings speakers in, he's suspended every player immediately, and he talked to the team about leaving Drae alone. Butch is not careless. I'm not worried about his job one iota.

Tennessee will be so hated late next fall. The amount of motivation due to this offseason will be staggering. You think team 119 will curl up in a ball because of what a bunch of uninformed people think about them? They're gonna come out with a bonfire under their a$$es.

When we're 6-0, top 5, and about to host bama at home, people will be complaining our program is tainted and corrupted. I won't mind everyone hating us because we're in a position they'd like to be in. 7 months from now we'll still hear about it but, it'll be hate out of jealousy. I don't think I'll mind all the attention by that time.

Trying to take a positive outlook on all of this.

Okay, so if true, I am assuming Butch can't walk around campus holding everyone's hand... So if proven, then 56 leaves team and school... not bringing the entire University down.... this is what is missing.... our staff and university acted swiftly every time something has allegedly happened and removed the player/s from the team and school... what else are they supposed to do?

Bruce Feldman was on Finebaum yesterday. He said he was at the football complex last year and Butch showed the team a video of a Hall of Fame player that had been accused of something. He said he went to great lengths to show his young team they had to be better than that. He said it was very eye opening to him.

This crap about culture is crazy.

Again your seeing bits and pieces from one side where they aren't releasing actual statements. They are taking certain words and putting them out here but not telling the story. Maggit could have admitted to an altercation. It doesn't mean he admitted that what he did was assault someone

Wes Rucker just said on the Geoff Calkins Show that he has been told the University will fight this too the bitter end. This isn't going away anytime soon. Fine by me. UT needs to prove that this is a bunch of horse crap.
