I keep hearing this, but I don't understand it.

Whatever bad Obama has done can essentially be reversed in one presidential administration. If debt is such a concern, then he's technically not even the worst we've had at that, statistically.

What can't be overturned in one presidential administration, however, and which we will have to deal with for probably at least the next 40 to 50 years as a nation (all while having our coffers sucked dry) is the decision to cook the books so that we could go warring all over the globe during the Bush II years.

I just don't understand the obsession with Obama as the worst president. The facts certainly don't bear it out. The only thing I can contribute it to is that it is the result of historical myopia, the condition wherein we all feel like the latest thing is the worst but only because our sense of nostalgia is so badly mistaken.

Only 14 percent of men and 8 percent of women had college degrees in 1970. That there were 27,000 of you at UT in that year doesn't mean much relative to the numbers nationally.

Although, to concede somewhat to your point, yes, I am elite. I've had more opportunities than the majority of the people who currently inhabit this globe. And because of that privilege, it has entitled me an education that enables me to see just how ignorant the majority of them are. But that's not their fault, as they've not had the benefit of the same structural privileges I have, and that insight is merely the product of historical circumstance, rather than anything special that I've done or have earned.

My point is that you think that you are superior to others due to your education. I happen to think that everyone is good at something, and are important in some way. Therefore, no individual should feel superior to another.

The cemeteries are full of indispensable people. You will join them one day, and will not be missed by more than a handful of people.

To concede a bit of another point to you, yes, I do think I'm superior than the posters on here who advocate for violence, espouse bigoted perspectives, and argue for un-American ideas. And you want to know why? Because I am. If you don't think you're superior to those posters, then that's your fault.

You ever stopped for one second to contemplate why I get along perfectly well with the majority of posters on this forum? It's because they're rational fellows, just like myself, who think intelligently about things, even if I disagree with them. That is to say they aren't *******s.

You seem to have the ability to think intelligently about things, yet you inexplicably take up the cause of the *******s.

Like I said before, if you don't want me to feel superior to posters who have bad, hateful ideas, then they need to come up with better ideas.

You shouldn't expect me, or anyone else, to be sympathetic to un-American morons just because they're entitled to an opinion.
