Everyone here respects your opinion to dislike same sex marriage, although we may personally think it's a misguided view. That's fine though, because a person is entitled to his views.

What we don't understand is how someone can criticize other posters for not respecting his beliefs, whatever that may mean in your mind, while not respecting others' beliefs.

By the way, the not so subtle, passive aggressive "you're all going to Hell, but I'm above saying that, although not really" jab in a previous post was touching.

You seem to have this idea that you can put forth your beliefs and not have any criticism of them.

You want discussion but you don't want honest discussion. As long as I don't give my Christian opinion, it's alright but as soon as someone gives an opinion some of you don't like. That's when you and some others can't stand it. In fact I would wager that you and some others have never stood up for anything. Some of you just talk. Vol that especially means you.

WTF does this even mean? You gave your opinion, and I and others gave our opinion of your opinion, and you're whining about it. Who exactly doesn't want "honest" discussion here?

Again, no one is telling you that you aren't entitled to share your views on here. You, however, don't seem to be able to understand that what you consider discrimination against your values is simply people standing up for their own. They want to live their lives in a manner according to how they see fit, and they don't want you dictating how they should live, your parental obligations aside.

Of course everyone thinks his own values are the best, but you seem to think that no one else is entitled to live by their values, simply because you exist. Then, for some inexplicable reason, you think people are being unfair to you for protesting your solipsism.

You've already told us we're all going to be tortured miserably for eternity for not sharing your views. We get it. You're a swell guy. What do you want us to do? Pat you on the back too? Shouldn't the courage of your conviction and our modest praise be enough?

That's what I was referencing in my other post about VolNation Logic, which is so special it requires a proper name. It will have you believing you're the crazy one. And the sincerity of the conviction with which it is expressed will make you think you're the dumb one. There's been a few times on this forum that I've had to go back and read my own posts just to make sure I hadn't said the opposite of what I thought I had said, other posters have had me so logically distressed.
