Supreme Court Justice Scalia has passed away

The current GOP members are:

Grassley
Hatch
Sessions
Graham
Cornyn
Lee
Cruz
Flake
Vitter
Perdue
Tillis

Let's see if that changes. Or, let's see if they create a subcommittee on it, and stock it with the safe seat members.

You and I both know if the nominee is Loretta Lynch (I see that name being tossed around a lot today) that idea is DOA. She had a hard enough time getting confirmed at the AG. You honestly think she gets confirmed for the SCOTUS?

Nobody will be confirmed under this assclown.. bank on it!

Been funny hearing Barry talk about what the constitution calls for him to do, he has never gave a damn about it until he needs to use for his own selfish reasons

I still think Sri Srinivasan gets the nod and if the Republicans refuse to even consider him they will come off looking foolish.

GV had a very pragmatic approach and if the Republicans suggested working together on this one, it would paint Obama in a corner if he refused. Instead of the Republicans looking like petulant children it would be the dems.

I don't want no Sri Srinshiniivnannisnan. I want somebody Amaricun.

Pretty funny to see all the Dems on tape saying exactly what Reps are saying today.

Interesting too that Obama didn't support Roberts or Alito and actually tried to block a vote on Alito is now saying Republicans are playing politics.

Both sides are blatant BS artists

Just a week ago he was lamenting the "mean" political atmosphere and regretted he didn't improve it.

Today he's mocking the GOP and is back to "I won, F U"

When pressed for clarification on Obama missing the funeral, White House press secretary Josh Earnest repeated that "the president will pay his respects at the Supreme Court on Friday and he'll be joined with the first lady when he does that."

When asked whether Obama's Saturday plans include golfing, Earnest stressed instead that the president believes it is important to honor Scalia's life and service.

They won't even say what he's doing instead.

POTUS will show up, unannounced at Scalia's funeral just to make sure the story is about him, and not Scalia.

You expected anything less from the President that skipped the funeral of the highest ranking General killed in combat since Vietnam and the funeral for the President of Poland?

and sent no one to the French memorial for Charlie Hebdo (when every one else was there).

Hope he plays terribly at what ever course he's at that day...

The Polish President could be explained by the volcano that was going off (I was in Europe and nothing was flying that far north) but at the very least he could have gone to the Polish Embassy and paid his respects.

Still, politics plays. And hopefully politics double and triple bogeys each hole.

And when all else fails? Race card!

Clinton suggests racial 'bigotry' behind Republicans' stance in Supreme Court fight | Fox News

Hillary Clinton took Democrats’ criticism of Senate Republicans in the debate over filling the Supreme Court’s sudden vacancy to a new level on Tuesday, suggesting those calling on President Obama not to nominate someone are motivated by race.

The Democratic presidential candidate accused Republicans of talking in “coded racial language” and tied that to the ongoing battle over who should replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia – and who should nominate that replacement.

“Now the Republicans say they’ll reject anyone President Obama nominates, no matter how qualified. Some are even saying he doesn’t have the right to nominate anyone. As if somehow he’s not the real president,” she said.

“You know, that’s in keeping with what we’ve heard all along, isn’t it? Many Republicans talk in coded racial language about takers and losers. They demonize President Obama and encourage the ugliest impulses of the paranoid fringe. This kind of hatred and bigotry has no place in our politics or our country.”
