Bigger picture here in light of everything...

Don't for a second think every male isn't capable of a sexual crime. If you're addicted pornography you, in effect, are advancing sex trafficking. Most of which starts at a young age. Lust is poison. Mack didn't wake up yesterday and decide to eviscerate his life.

I hope we all fall to our knees and pray that God guards our hearts and strengthens us against such temptation. This is a broken world and there's one way out, a narrow and often difficult path to find.

So yes rebuke the behavior but don't let his errors pass in vain. Use this to better you.

So very much yes.

At 23, the male brain is still a work in process, and our awareness of some stuff is tenuous at best. That, and humanity's inherent busted-ness, creates circumstances that can go wrong in so many ways. Any man on here that claims that he is incapable of such debauchery is deceiving himself. The line between the greatest saint and foulest sinner is much thinner than any of us would like to admit, and when I find myself coming down pretty hard on someone, a quiet voice reminds me that "but by the grace of God, there go I".

That said...he does that to one of my daughters or granddaughters, and he has far bigger concerns than jail time.

Alright guys, I have had it with this university's bad luck. I am going to talk to a voodoo priest in New Orleans this weekend. See if he can't lift the curse.

I am planning to buy my dream home for about 50cents on the $ in about 3 years

Think I found the perfect one

@darrenrovell: Will Muschamp purchases $1.85M home on a South Carolina island, has 2,600 sq foot guest house (H/T @wilkinson_jeff) https://t.co/Ku2Wq5SSmf

I wonder what island that is?

Should have been Parris Island:

Exactly what I was thinking.

Ironically, I just finished reading the sex trafficking chapter in Counter Culture and this is exactly what I thought. Many don't realize this, but pornography heavily funds the sex trafficking industry and further fuels the desire for prostitution/extortion of young girls. Similarly, the same perverted sexual desires found in the lust for pornographic images also drives prostitution, which drives trafficking.

It's very real, nearer, and more connected to us all than we want to realize. It doesn't just happen in third-world countries overseas. It is connected to our computers, smart phones, and the results can be found with young girls all over the US unwillingly thrown into prostitution. The question is, how far do we allow the perversion to go?

I pray that Mack is able to have healing from this. He will have to face punishment here on earth, but hopefully it will result in the salvation of his soul for eternity.

Are you referring to the book by David Platt?

Tennessee quarterback Josh Dobbs worked out with the baseball team this winter before deciding to keep his sole athletic focus on football.

"He just kind of wanted to see where his baseball skills were," Serrano said. "He came out for four or five practices, but we sat down and decided that this wasn't the best time. I told him that he's part of the team and that any time he wants to be in our dugout for home games, he's welcome.

"He's a fine young man who has his priorities in line, and I wouldn't be surprised next year after football is over that he makes a run to be on the baseball team."
-Coach Serrano.

Well said. And not to defend his behavior in any way, but I'm sure that cop is an expert at enticing men into that scenario far more effectively than an actual 14 year old would be. Doesn't make it any less reprehensible, but a little "but for the grace of God go I" is appropriate in our response.

GFW you are the best but you're going to give us all heart failure by saying something like that during the midst of turmoil in Knoxville. We are the headline of every article and news story, one of our greatest players of all time is being vilified in national media, now a recent player is arrested for going after a young girl, we have zero recruits, what else am I forgetting here . Just wake us up when it's over. Good grief!

Does Butch Jones have a guy in a pit in his basement? Please... not that.

Love David Platt's teaching.
