2016 Election

At this point, based off the new poll from SC, I feel confident that Trump will represent the Republicans in the 2016 election, which is just mind-blowing considering what I thought when he announced in June/July.

Don't expect to win then.

Trump v Sanders, I like my chances.

Trump v. Clinton, I like my chances.

And when I say 'my chances', as crazy as it sounds, I've found myself kinda hopping on the Trump train lately. Sure better than Clinton, Sanders, Bloomberg, Cruz, or Rubio. The only exception for me is Bush, and it doesn't stand a chance any longer.

Tell me again about Trumps chances.

What were HRC's poll numbers vs. Sanders in August? Could you put up that picture? Lots of time before November Carols. If it's Trump V Clinton, I like my chances.

Yes, after 9-11 DC turned into a boom town. It's currently a huge bubble.

Yup....anyone who lived in DC before 9/11 and after 9/11 couldn't miss this. Govt salaries also shot up throughout the late 90's and 2000's.

The Dept of Homeland Security was probably the biggest component of those numbers. What a debacle.

Lol. This only proves that republicans truly don't care about the size of government or federal deficits.

Unless a democrat is in office.

I assume you're talking about the politicians themselves and not the citizens. I've seen a ton of Bush bashing on the growth of the federal govt during his tenure.

I only remember republicans telling me it was wrong to bash a president during a time of war (politicians and people). Normally people just repeat what their politicians say.

I think Obama's biggest strength is his oratory ability. He's an OK politician but has shown a general lack of ability to persuade and negotiate with Congress on multiple issues. It took him two terms - both with decent electoral mandates - to even begin to advance many of his legislative aspirations. I think his heart has always been in the right place but he is just flat wrong on the role of government, in my opinion.

Obama's foreign policy activity has also been highly questionable in a couple of areas - mainly relating to Syria and his dealings with traditional allies. His obsession with arming 'moderate rebels' in Syria is totally loony, the FSA is made up of many radical Islamist elements, and the number of moderate rebels is dwarfed by Syrian government forces and other belligerent groups. He has not been as close to Britain as I would've liked and it is maybe one of the primary reasons as to why he was not backed up by the British Parliament on the Syria vote to attack Assad. He has also spat in Israel's face to put it lightly. I mean it's fine having an obsession with Asia, but not at the expense of old friends.

I think the words you're looking for are telepromtory skills..... Take the telepromtor away and all you get is a bunch of pauses and ughs

Like you said. Obama is nothing without the teleprompter.

Am I the only one who thinks every time a republican stands up and says:

"I will never appologize for America"

That they sounds like a complete idiot?

Everyone's an idiot compared to our emperor, he went on a worldwide apology tour, how's that working out?
