Supreme Court Justice Scalia has passed away

I sleep with a small travel pillow over my head to block out all light. I think he died of being overweight and out of shape not even having to mention the fact that he was 79.

Take away? No. Restrict even further? Very likely.

Imagine the Heller or McDonald decisions with a SCOTUS leaning away from that 5-4 favor. McDonald was a landmark case that applied the 2A to all States equally. And Heller finally gave a clear definition of arms.

Neither of those would have come to pass had the SCOTUS been favored the other way.

Heller is also used for the proposition that bans on "assault rifles" is acceptable which I know you hate.

While that's possible, there needs to be an autopsy. The fact that it was ruled a heart-attack over the phone is strange. Heck, even Kennedy had an autopsy after being shot.

Oh no doubt. I don't know why everything happens the way it does. I don't think everything is a conspiracy. I do think the question, it is warranted in this case.

Kennedy's autopsy was conducted by two Navy doctors who had never previously performed a forensic autopsy.

Bans no. Restrictions yes.

Come on, Counselor. Use correct terminology.

“We also recognize another important limitation on the right to keep and carry arms. ‘Miller’ said, as we have explained, that the sorts of weapons protected were those ‘in common use at the time.’ 307 U.S., at 179, 59 S.Ct. 816. We think that limitation is fairly supported by the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of ‘dangerous and unusual weapons.’”

I was incorrect, he did not use the term assault weapons, but he did support the ban on "dangerous and unusual weapons."
