He was also promised more than he actually got from The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 when he signed it.

Now there you go making excuses for the Reagan Administration opening the flood gates to illegals with the signing of that bill.

How does it make you feel that the so called King of Conservatism is the president that granted amnesty to 3 million illegals ?

In a CBS News interview Bush was asked about who he is pulling for in the Super Bowl.

"I'm pulling for Peyton Manning. I'm pulling for the old guy that's an All-Star, the All-Pro, a guy you can rely on, the player that has the proven record".

If you read the bill, it was supposed to end the problem. It wound up exacerbating it due to non enforcement of the provisions.

It fixed it okay, it gave amnesty to 3.2 million illegals and told our Hispanic friends , come on we we will grant you amnesty. How many million illegals do we have in America now?

RR and GW should have enforced whatever provisions you are referring to . RR was in office 2+ years after he signed that disaster of a bill into law and HW was in the next 4 years. That is 6 + years RR and HW had to enforce these provisions of their bill you speak of. I assume they chose not to.

All that bill did was open the gates and welcome millions of Hispanics into our nation.

Word leaking out of his campaign is that he's making his stand in South Carolina. But the poll consistently show Trump sad Rubio in 1st and 2nd and Cruz and Kasich fighting back and forth for 3rd in New Hampshire.

It seems to me that the bill had provisions to fine and punish employers with over 2 or 3 employees if they hired workers with no documentation. And there were provisions for deporting illegals, and more border security. I think it was the Simpson-Mazzoli Bill.

I remember that they had a big bi-partisan commission that came up with the recommendations, and Reagan signed it. It wasn't his actual idea.
