Guys, I'm really concerned about our DB depth. I know we just landed 3 top 100 players for that position group, but they haven't played a down and therefore we have no depth and experience or skill there.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out: Parents have been paid to deliver him to Ole Miss and thus that's exactly what they're going to do. It rarely gets to this late before resolution, but this appears to be one of those cases.

We also have hybrid Austin Smith who's a huge LB/DE. We'll be fine at DE. Would rather have Brown than Kongbo personally.

I would rather have Brown or Daniels either one than Kongbo. But you know the old saying.."Son you wish in one hand, and crap in the other, and see which gets full the fastest."

Obviously the coaches felt the need to sign several DB's this year and rightfully so. We need great players there because we don't have enough of them.

Why wouldn't they want to do the same for defensive end? We aren't nearly as loaded as fans think. People are assuming Kyle Phillips and Darrell Taylor are going to be studs but that's pure fanboy hope. It's not based on anything except hype. People are also making Corey Vereen out to be an all star and he's not. Not saying he isn't a good player.

You don't sit on your hands and hope those guys work out. You keep adding ballers to the roster each and every year. That's what big time programs do.

I think a lot of this is "you make hay when the sun is shining." Last year there were a lot of linemen and we cleaned up. This year we struggled to get a lot of linemen, but did better in the back end. When people ask why are we taking 6 receivers, it's to hedge against the fact that next year we may strike out.
