With the possibility of GameDay attending.
Not to mention the small fact that on the biggest stage available that week (presumably Gameday will be there to boot), we're going to kick Virginia Tech's ass all over the field. They may as well send out 100 random fratboys.
FYI-I got a call from BMS ticket office this past Monday(1-25-16) letting me know that my credit card was about to be charged for the remaining balance on our Battle at Bristol tickets.
Total cost for 1 ticket in the yellow section(Yarborough/Jr Johnson-see seating chart link below) is $152.95.

Looks like there will be another college football game at BMS the following weekend.

502! My boy just graduated from WCU and took him and about 20 of his frat brothers and friends to the Vols vs Cats at Neyland last year. They were on the Jumbotron with the Purple body paint doing the wave when they scoredThis game won't draw 500 people. Including the players and coaches. What's the point?
So you are suggesting they have already sold upwards of 170 thousand tickets?
If so, that's just an irresponsible claim.
They may, eventually, call it as sell out. But, the majority of those tickets are or will be purchased by 3rd party sources and moving closer to the game ticket prices will be outrageous. I'm sticking to my prediction of between 80-100k actually attending. Maybe 100k similar to Neyland. If it gets upwards of 120k or more then it will be from the Viginia Tech side and that will SHOCK me......

Does Sunshine Tours know something we don't? Looking through their 2016 Trip brochure, it has scheduled times the buses are leaving and coming back. It has 6am pickup in Roanoke VA and back the same night at 7pm. Also says Kingsport/Johnson City pickup at 9am and return at 7pm. That would mean this game is played early, maybe even noon. That absolutely sucks. Says pickup in Wytheville VA at 730am and to return 530pm.
For those that are concerned about the view, or lack of, or the traffic, then by all means, stay home and catch the game on TV. I've been a race ticket holder at BMS for 25+ years and I've witnessed what Bruton Smith can do. I have every confidence that this game experience will be top notch.

GBO!

Lights can be brought in, ESPN used to do it for the races before Bristol had adequate lighting for TV. But, I am not sure how one would know they wouldn't have lights, Bruton sure hasn't skimped on any other expense. They probably do. It is not going to be a night game. Bristol does not have the lights for a football game to be played at night. I also don't think it will be a noon kick, but it will be between 1 and 3 .
