Most Underrated Movies

The Mummy. I just really liked that movie although I'm probably not going to get much support here.

Funny, this was on one of my move chanels this weekend and I turned it on twice. Good movie, actually, for what it is. Hey, if the movie is one that I turn on pretty much every time I find it, I will generally put it on the "good movies" list.

Off the top of my head:

The Village
The Green Mile
Heavyweights
The Mighty Ducks movies

M. Night Shyamalan (sp?), man that guy is hit-or-miss. The 6th Sense was, of course his best, but hard to call it underrated. I liked Signs quite a bit. I recently saw an add for a new movie by him. I think it was called The Change. Anyone know anything about this?

Okay, it's not called The Change, it's called The Happening. Close, but no cigar.

I've always wanted to see the 6th Sense, but I already know the ending so it seems like it would ruin the experience.

Dumb and Dumberer (I actually hated it the 1st time but loved it the 2nd)
Office Space
Dazed and Confused

King of the Ants - This has to be one of the most underrated movies in the last decade.
Master and Commander - This is a personal one, I find this movie quite good.
Jackie Brown - Tarantino's best movie.
Millers Crossing - One of the better mod movies of the 90's.

Friday the 13th (original)- It's not underrated by the older crowd, but it surprises me at how our younger generation doesn't know the one that started them all didn't have a guy in a hockey mask slashing up horny campers. It's good slasher film even by today's standards. In fact it's the only Friday the 13th movie I would still watch today.
