Calm down.

I don't know if Kongbo told Butch it wasn't necessary to go to Canada or not. I don't know if anybody else knows.

But, do we seriously think that Butch would fail to make that stop if he thought it would help? Only if there were something even more important - unlikely.

Trust Butch. He doesn't worry about spending those frequent flyer miles.

I like the idea of Dobbs going out for baseball. He doesn't seem to be an NFL QB due to accuracy issues. Throws over 15 yards look like baseball throws rather than football throws. I have no problem with it.

2 things

1. He might be a better baseball player than thrower of a football
2. He's a young guy who only gets one chance at it and if baseball is his dream why not play it while in college for at least a year?

Why is Dobbs going out for spring baseball?!

Played against him a lot in high school and youth travel. He was good at baseball, not incredible, better than me admittedly. Im not sure if he was good enough to play at UT out of hs and I'm sure he's pretty rusty on the mechanics side after 3 years off. Just my opinion.

Late to the party but need to comment on the coffee issue. I've used every kind of coffee maker and owned almost every kind. Finally bought a Keurig and am sad that it makes a great cup of coffee and is too easy to use. I'm sad, because I like the process of making coffee, but also want a great cup in the morning. So now I have the great cup, but no ritual...

I have not owned but would love to have:
A Belgium Royal Coffee Maker:

or a Stovetop Coffee Siphon:

I have owned and still use the Aeropress, a stovetop percolator, a french press, a Mr. Coffee drip maker (with the bean grinder) and a stovetop espresso maker. I've drank or made coffee on almost every continent and even eaten dry coffee during Ranger School. It has been a life long quest and that dang Keurig is happily pi$$ing me off every morning.

(Note, I realize this whole ritual and quest for the perfect cup of coffee thing may go over the heads of some, I'm hoping the vets out there will understand!)

The verbiage in Hubbs updates leaves me less than positive on the big fish.

If today was NSD...

I think we miss on Dickerson and Kongbo.

50/50 with Brown.

Land Warrior and Byrd.

Need a big weekend on campus to turn this around. If anyone can do it its CBJ.

This is exactly where we are, IMO. Kongbo's family wants him on the West Coast, and he likes SC. He likes UT, too, but geography could prevail. Dickerson has been a solid FSU lean for a while. Coaches may want him to RS here-- but not at FSU. That could be a factor.

Brown could go down to the wire. He's playing it close. Reminds me a little of Lamar Dawson's recruitment. This one comes down to Shoop, and I think it works in our favor.

We could be taking Byrd-- and even Warrior-- a bit for granted. I think they'll be Vols, but Byrd could stick with Miami just because it's more familiar.

I think we get three of the five and take Bailey or Williams. JMO.

Hubbs made it sound like if we miss on Brown, Clark, Kongbo and Daniels, we won't take another DLineman. I think we've already said no to Bailey.

Just a guess, but I'd say our priorities are-
TOP:
Warrior
Byrd
Brown
Kongbo

THEN:
Daniels
Clark
Dickerson

AND if there's still a spot left:
Moss
Williams

3/5 would be huge.

This will change 10 times between now and Wednesday. Lol the roller coaster ride that is this years recruiting class. We are not out of it for anyone by no means. Dickerson, Brown, Byrd, and Warrior on campus this weekend may be enough to seal the deal. Who knows at this point?

Like many have said about Kongbo, he's liked so many programs but we have been the only constant in his recruitment.

In short, we have no clue what happens Wednesday.

Beautiful post.

Agree that dang Keurig is just too convenient and tastes good enough that it makes no sense to brew a pot from a drip percolator if you're the only drinker in the house like I am.

That Belgian coffee maker looks frightening and beautiful all at once.

Craving a cup right now. ☕️

Warrior and Byrd is still a big haul. I think having 3 of those guys together helps a bunch. Kongbo was never likely once west coast offers rolled in. If we get Dickerson, Byrd, and Warrior though...boom

Eff K cups. My cuisinart carafe style dials it in every day and I can pour a mega cup and walk out. Start before shower enjoy after.

Understand your points.. Could help his accuracy and overall mechanics.

BUT the Football Fan in me is tripping a bit.

First time we have real shot at SEC title next year and our Star QB playing Baseball in the off season..

I'm surprised Bailey hasn't committed to VT if we told him there's definitely no room. If that's the case, I think we go all the way down to Williams... or Moss, if Young's injury is more serious than originally thought. Daniels is Texas-bound, IMO.

I'm not sure it'll change that much. I think we've been at the same place all week, and the coaches have a good sense how it's going to wrap up. It will be a great weekend, but I think these players know what's most important to them and where their heart is telling them to go.

The only real wild card, IMO, is Brown, because he and his family have not spent time with Shoop and need to feel comfortable with him. We all anticipate that will go very well, but that's the variable.

Brown, Kongbo, and Dickerson are all "wildcards," because I think even they don't know for sure where they are going. If we can land just one along with Warrior and Byrd, it'll be a huge success.

If we end up with Warrior, Byrd, and then Moss and/or Williams, I'll still be happy. I'd like to add a HS DT for sure, but if a quality one doesn't want in, what do you do?

Haha! This is why I love this place, we can debate over anything. I believe I once witnessed an argument over what type of wood was better to burn.

"Hickory you, sum-beach!"

"Bump that, I'll put a rick of ash against your Elm and smoke that a!!!"

It was glorious. That may have been VQ though i don't remember.

Playing baseball would not help his football throwing mechanics.
