Translation: I'm a yankee.

Lol, furthest thing.

Cool story bro: when my son, who is 6, says something rude or doesn't say yes sir to or around my dad, my dad will call him a little Yankee. Pisses my son off to no end, but works because that is such a dirty word to him.

I bought a Sodastream to carbonate water. It's awesome. I never feel the need to drink soda, diet or regular, now.

My gf loves this unsweetened carbonated juice drink. Has all of these types of flavors, but I do not remember what it is. Can get it from Kroger or Walmart and such. Not Izze. I tried one, but I couldn't stand it. I chalk it up to my mind/body was expecting something like soda because it was "carbonated".

Took me about a year, but I started mixing unsweetened into my sweet tea little by little. I used to be a sweet tea addict, but now anything more than 25% sweet tea tastes awful to me. Hopefully I'll get to 100% unsweetened at some point, but my sugar intake is WAY down, and I never sacrificed any enjoyment

It pains me to have to type this, but I am probably going to have to start doing this. My gf (who is from Michigan) does not like sweet tea at all. She thinks that it ruins the flavor. Me, I don't mind drinking unsweetened teas, but I much rather have it sweetened. She says mine is diabetic sweet lol. I have been thinking about what you did here.

Boneless skinless chicken breasts, lean turkey breast cutlets, frozen large shrimp, fresh lettuce, carrots, celery, and cucumbers is the only thing I keep in the fridge and is 80% of my meals. Once a week I have a 10oz steak. Zero bread or pasta. Only drink water, no soda ever. I do like protein bars and powder and they are a daily part of my calorie intake. It takes some getting use to but it works for me. Been doing it for about 5 years now. I'm 5'11 and feel best at around 210lbs.

I never once felt like I was missing out. Just ease your way in, and before you know it you'll be spitting out sweet tea because it's too sweet

Where were you raised?

I know I may be late to the party on this by 24 hours to so - but just to clear up something regarding recruiting websites.... Here's some information everyone should know if you don't already.

Rivals and 24/7 was started by the same group of people, Shannan Terry is the founder of both. Big, big bama fan - like a lot of the guys in the initial group that started the sites.

Rivals sold to yahoo for about 100mil - they brought on Shannon to work there and he signed a non-compete. He didn't work there long, and sat out his 5 (I believe) year non-compete.

Rivals has not changed what they offer - even their layout - since yahoo bought them in 2007. It's a complete joke.

As soon as the non-compete ran out, Shannon got his old groupies back together and started 24/7 after having millions invested into distribution channels already lined up.

24/7 has more traffic than Rivals right now. ESPN almost bought out 24/7 after it was up and running for 1.5 years. It's that good, and grew that fast. Just recently, CBS bought 24/7.

All that to say Rivals used to be the best, then the founders left. 24/7 is the more advanced version of Rivals, with all the originators involved.

To argue that Rivals is a better recruiting website than 24/7 doesn't make much sense to me. Rivals offers the same thing it did nearly 10 years ago. 24/7 is much, much better.

ESPN recruiting is terrible - they put no time into it. Not going to spend the time, as there are numerous examples of how bad they are. There's a reason they were attempting to buy out 24/7.

Scout is good at what they do - it's just a different flavor. They were major players back in the day and have just recently tried to jump back into the recruiting scene.
____________

Most of you know all of this - but some of the comments being made seem to indicate that it's not as common knowledge as I thought. I know ESPN was trying to purchase them because I worked on some projects affiliated with 24/7 and nearly started working for them last January.

I finally talked my mom into trying half and half. Took a few weeks of her not enjoying it, but she's already to the point where she doesn't enjoy full on sweet tea anymore because it's too sweet.

I really enjoy stevia as a sweetner. I grew up on sweet tea, I would drink 2 gallons a day. Now I drink it unsweet or with stevia. Coffee is my drink of choice, stout and black. You know what the say once you go black you don't go back.

Additionally, I would like to say this about diet drinks. I actually had a problem with NutraSweet ( Aspartame ). It would cause me to have migraines if I ate or drank any product with it as an ingredient. When I quit consuming it at a neurologist's advice my migraines where sharply reduced in number. My brother-in-law was having seizures similar to epilepsy. His doctor told him to quit drinking diet coke and they went away. I only drink diet drinks that do not have Aspartame in them. Thankfully that is getting much easier to find now that Coco-cola and Pepsi have both come out with diet drinks that have splenda instead.

I had this same issues with Aspartame and it's known to cause migraines in some people. Splenda is known to cause thyroid issues. Agave again is known to cause issues with some people, not because of the Agave itself but because of the process and chemicals used to make it into a sweetener. It's basically the same thing as high fructose corn syrup but made from Agave instead of corn.

I do like my coffee with sugar, but I only use pure organic cane sugar. I figure it's most natural thing out there.

I see that you still counting other things, too.

If you're just doing coffee or tea for the caffeine, it doesn't really matter. But if you want to get into the flavor of the thing, pay attention to the product and the process. It really makes a huge difference. Any sweetness or creamer will mask any of that so it won't matter as much if that's your preference.

A thread on 247 says that Hooker said on the radio he has heard Stewart is done with football.

Good luck to the young man. Hope we still help him get his degree, if that's where his heart is.

Regarding the tea talk: really not crazy about iced tea or iced coffee in general, but I love the hot stuff. Straight up, no cream or sugar. Anybody else here like oolong tea?

Oolong, Assam, Darjeeling, Ceylon, Sencha, Kenyan. You name it.
