seems to me that every time a school visits with this kid, they come away feeling "really good" about their chances and feel they are the favorite.

My guess is this kid is a people pleaser. Which is fine, that is some people's personality.

Not saying you're wrong BTW. I just think this won't be done and dusted til next Wednesday.

Sure. Dont mind at all. I have 2 friends that are boosters and have really good ties to the program and has had that for awhile. They constantly give me info on recruiting that I relay to you all. Not all info I get is 100% spot on as recruiting is a fluid business but I trust there info. Been family friends for a long time.

I'm just confused on how UT boosters know that ole miss has the lead? Is Kongbo telling the staff and then the staff is telling the boosters?

Or are these boosters reading 247 CB predictions?

I am assuming that they have friends and know people. I dont ask the questions just relay what I am told.

Boosters know very very little about recruiting

I have posted before I have a close booster contact that provides transportation to our coaches during recruiting and they know very little more than we do

In fact they get their info from the sites as well

Boosters spread rumors about recruiting just like we do. When it comes to the week before NSD, not many people know outside of the recruits themselves and the coaches.

Slightly off topic but I think you're right. My father was a Tennessee booster in the 70's and 80's when recruiting wasn't covered much except a little by the Knoxville Journal and although he would try to get info on where players were going, he never could. In fact, the only times he was made aware of what was going on in recruiting at all was when there was seriously illegal activity that hurt us. Such as when AD Bob Woodruff was trying to gather proof that Alabama had bought Nashville's EJ Junior's mother a house (they did)... or when Paul Dietzel of South Carolina was trying to do the same thing for Stanley Morgan's mom.

Obviously, things have changed since then but I still don't believe that boosters are necessarily more privy to info than anyone else (unless there is cheating going on).
