And don't get in a hurry. I'm gunning to lose about 90-105 pounds. I've lost about 60 so far at a rate of just about .75 a week.

Its taking a while...but it's still happening.

Calorie wise it might be 0. But there have been numerous studies showing that artificial sweeteners prevent your brain from realizing your stomach is as full as it is. Now whether you choose to believe those studies or not is a different story.

I honestly don't know where I stand on it but I don't drink sodas but maybe one a year if there's no water to drink. Most people seem to drink sodas just for the taste and I honestly only drink water when I'm thirsty. So I can't say "don't drink sodas" if I don't understand the pull it has on people.

Taste's good mane. Caffeine, carbonation. I also drink at least a gallon of water a day. I go #1 a lot.

Thanks man. He has good days and bad. Tells me the same stories over and over. He forgets a lot but can tell you anything about the Vols. It's weird how he can remember every detail about a game that happened in 1997 but has no idea what month it is.

My dad has this also he will be 80 this June I just turned 58. The last few times I have visited him he`s not sure who I am. Been his son for nearly 60 years man that brings it home for me like nothing else. Hate this disease Hate it.

I am no expert, but I have always heard that the artificial sweeteners are a big no no. Plus, also stay away from anything that has high fructose corn syrup in the ingredients.

Anybody that competes will tell you that water is king. You don't fool with sodas at all. Hodge twins are going vegan now too. Wonder why is that? Maybe because they were losing subscribers.

It's been very hard for me to change my eating habits. So much so that I've started leaving my card at the house when I go to work so that I won't have the option if going to get fast food.

I graduated high school in '98 at 6'4", 185 pounds. I now weigh just north of 290 because of lazy habits and poor eating. Trying to so a normal exercise routine every day for the last month has been the easy part. Watching what I eat has been a nightmare.

I understand what you mean. Last year I lost 35 lbs and at this time am trying to lose the extra 10 I'm keeping packed on. My wife and I used the T-25 program and it really helped a lot. She lost 20 lbs but is now pretty ripped. The program is 30 minutes but it is worth it.

Before the program I couldn't run a half mile without stopping, when I finished an overweight buddy was doing a 5K so I decided I would do it with him. I ran it easy with no training and went back and finished walking his out.

Yeah, bacon and eggs for breakfast and steak for dinner while shredding fat really sucks.

For cutting weight, sure.

I'd still rather have a biscuit and potatoes with my meals.

Maybe a PB&J for elevensies.

Seriously though, bacon and eggs is my breakfast 75% of the time.

Good luck man! Just by exercising, cutting out fast food and soda, you'll see a huge difference!

This. I decided to cut out carbonated soft drinks, and you will be surprised how many calories you drink. I went 6 months last year without one and finally caved in after football started. Diet drinks don't help either. To me, it makes a big difference.

Edit: I am way behind.

I can drop 10-15 pounds in a couple of months doing low carb (keto) just 4 days a week. It's hard to maintain because of how expensive it is, but I never really feel deprived or hungry. I think that's what makes it so effective for me. Traditional calorie restriction diets suck because you're hungry 24/7.
