I think it's silly to try and compare the careers of Newton and Manning currently, seeing as PM has more than 10 years on Cam. That said, I just did some digging for the sake of digging and I find this interesting: Peyton had 147 total touchdowns over his first five years. Cam has had 160 so far. Obviously that's where Cam's legs come into play, but still. That's a lot of points. TD to interceptions are all reasonably close as well. He may not be the field general that Peyton is (I don't think anyone ever has been, he's usually the best coach on the field) but I think as far as pure talent, and physicality go, Cam Newton is the most incredible QB we've seen in the league. It's fine if you don't like him, but don't act like he came out of no where this year.
