Hurd is nothing like Henry outside of being the same size. Hurd runs with better pad level unlike Henry who is more upright. He also has a thicker lower body which allows him to break tackles more effectively than Henry who has really skinny thighs for a 240 lbs. back. Hurd also shows better initial burst through the hole (though he lacks Henry's long range speed). He also has better hips for quicker change of direction and agility.

Hurd is a much better NFL prospect. He'll go in the 1st round with 4 other RBs in 2017 which should be the year of the RB.

Where in the world do you see that Hurd has a thicker lower body? Henry has skinny thighs??? Hurd shows a quicker burst? Good lord man.

We are all huge Vol fans and I love Hurd. But take off the orange glasses and try to look at reality. Hurd is not in Henry's league. Never has been and never will be in the collegiate world. At this point there is really only one area where Hurd bests Henry and that's catching passes out of the backfield.

He's better in pass protection as well. Henry's no slouch but Hurd's got him beat there.

How else do you explain the heisman trophy winner and RB with the greatest statistical season in SEC history being projected as a 2nd round pick and 2nd overall RB after Ezekiel Elliot?

NFL teams care about how you look on film than about what stats you put up. Stats are influenced too much by the system you play in, the players around you, and the caliber of opponent you play. Because those factors are rarely ever equal across college football, it would be foolish to rely too much on stats.

Unbelievable. He has to be in middle school. I'm not quite sure why his posts bother me so much. They shouldn't, but they do. He is extremely naive & unrealistic with his understanding of football. All aspects. HS ratings, skill-level/ability, recruiting, college football, NFL Draft, positional importance, etc. The list could go on & on. Constantly very off-base with his predictions & observations.

He literally posted "I have no idea why you guys think stats have anything to do with draft projections" in a thread. How does one to respond to such a statement? I'm not sure where to start.

I don't know. When my cousin was in Iraq with the Army he'd email us photos. I swear the Air Force guys were always wearing wind breakers and looked like they were having a grand ol time while the Army guys were stuck in camo and looked like they were having anything but fun.

Deployments are so different for each branch. I had 4 during my time in and only 1 was awful. The rest were fairly easy. No matter which branch you join it's admirable and an honor, I know I made an army joke a few posts ago but I rarely get into this pissing contests over which one is better. Is the AF easier, for most jobs it is. We don't have infantry jobs but some guys who work in CE or on the flight line may have a different point of view than me.

Hurd is better in pass protection. Noticed that in his first few games. Hurd is about to be the all time leading rusher at UT. Let that sink in. Henry is great and had a great OL. Hurd will have a great OL next year and had a good one this year but still not near the gaping holes that Henry got to run thru. This is not to knock Henry. He is a great player. But, don't act like Hurd is not anywhere close to him in overall talent.

Hurd can't have a year like Foster had in his last one. That would definitely hurt his draft prospects.
