Sounds like all Jimmy did there was read VN and conclude that we as a fan base were disappointed.

Great reporting.

Doesn't Woods have an OV this weekend? WVU? Maybe he's going through with that before announcing. Kongbo seems like a longshot... but he'll always have a spot.

Fortenberry said tonight part of the reason he didn't commit could be because of the Hart ordeal. Also said GT feels better than they did before the visit.

*edit. Yes he goes to WVU.

He doesn't trust the coaches because of Hart's tweets? That would be unfortunate.

Are you sure about that or is this just a theory?

I think the academic stuff is something, but also heard today the Hart stuff made him second guess a little bit. Ga Tech is really pushing academics. Now, he's set to take a WVU visit and South Carolina the last weekend.

Again, this may be a situation that if he still wants in and waits too long there may not be any room. Bailey is really liking the Vols. But, who knows, maybe he goes to UNC this week and they become his leader. They've had a few good days on the recruiting trail.

We shouldnt be competing with ga tech, unc, uwv for cruits. Let them go there if that is the case

Can't argue with a kid wanting to put his education in front of football. Plus, Ga Tech running the triple option sure didn't hurt Calvin Johnson's NFL chances.

Calvin Johnson didn't play in a triple option offense at GT. Also, what does the offensive scheme of GT have to do with this kid? He's a DE.

I think he's got a reasonable concern. I don't think they take Woods and Kongbo. If Woods commits tonight, is he safe if Kongbo wants to commit on the 30th? Probably not.

Sorry. I guess i should clarify. People were saying we shouldn't be competing with GaTech for recruits.

The point wasn't about offense or scheme, it was that playing at GaTech doesn't hinder his chances of getting to the next level if he so wishes to put education before football in college.

Sorry. I worded my post poorly, so I understand how the point I was making went right over everybody's head.
:good!:

Didn't GaTech changed to a triple option coach and scheme like Calvin's Soph. year? I know he played at least one year in a triple option scheme. He definitely was recruited there under a triple option coach.

Edit: and after a quick google search, Calvin Johnson indeed DID NOT play in a triple option scheme at Georgia Tech. Paul Johnson came in 2008. :peace2:
