Unsure about WRs, WR offers going out.

Unsure about Brown, offers out to Thompson and other DTs.

Unsure about Simmons, other offers going out to DEs.

Warrior. No offers going out to other S's.

I see it.

Vol.

On the defensive side of the ball we expect Bob Shoop and Tommy Thigpen to visit several including JaQuan Bailey before meeting up with several other coaches like Willie Martinez to see Nigel Warrior and Steve Stripling to see Derrick Brown and Tyler Clark.

That depends on who you listen to. According to some things I've read they are out of it and it's Auburn and Tenn. I don't know what to believe for Brown but I do feel like Shoop has to help us here.

Oh boy, us against Auburn for a highly touted d-lineman, I know his this story goes.

I'd put the over/under on Auburn's cash offer at $25k

Lol didn't you say that about Kyle Davis and Mecole Hardman too?

I did and will say that I was told that Davis was a Vol so why he picked Auburn something changed and I was told that he just had a change of heart. As for Mecole we was there and in the lead and we were the destination point. I was told later that he was being recruited by Pruitt and was awe struck by him. Butch has tried and even made some recruits upset by the treatment Mecole was getting. So Butch threw in the towel because he was told he would follow Pruitt whereever he went. So I understand if you roast me for those 2 but I am still going to bring the info I get because I would like to continue to keep you all informed

With Warrior, the next three weeks should be interesting. He's scheduled to head to LSU this weekend and while he likes the Tigers, it's still seen as an Alabama-Tennessee battle.

We talked to some close to Warrior on Thursday night after Shoop and Thigpen visited with him and his family and we are told the family sees him as a good fit with the rest of the staff.

A good thing for the Vols is the fact that his two closest relationships from the Tide are now at Georgia in Kirby Smart and Mel Tucker and that Jeremy Pruitt, who didn't make Warrior a priority when at Georgia, is at Alabama.

It will be interesting to see how things unfold there, but there seems to be cautious optimism on the part of the Vols heading into the last few weeks.

Sounds that way. Keeping majority of staff the same likely helps here and just upgrading at DC to a guy that focuses on Safties. He doesn't like Pruitt. UGA is one I am hoping he keeps at arms length away know that they have Smart and Tucker.

Saban's already used his In-Home visit with Warrior back in the beginning of December. With Warrior visiting the last weekend before NSD at UT, then an in-home with Butch likely right after that visit, I would be stunned if he ended up anywhere else.

Butch's in-home will be right before his OV...He can't visit after, as that's the dead or quiet period just before NSD.

Butch has visited with recruits that Sunday night before the dead period before. If a recruit comes in on a Friday evening, has a max 48 hours there, they leave sometime Sunday, and Butch closes that last night. I'd bet on an In-Home Jan 31 at the Warrior residence.

Lol I just thought it was funny. I have no idea who you are or where your info comes from. You may have been right others times that I am unaware of I just remember you hyping those two up and I had wondered why everyone was taking it as gospel. Alabama was definitely making it a tough battle for Warrior (even P. Fort/Hubbs suggested we were 2nd not too long ago), but as soon as Smart left Bama and Pruitt took over as DC I think that eliminated Bama by proxy. Plus w/ Byrd cancelling his OV I think that shows our staff has their guy. But by no means was it an easy battle. :eek:k:
