'16 AZ DE Jonathan Kongbo UT Signee 2/3/16

We sure are lucky to have you come in and straighten the entire fan base out. Thanks for being the board's 'moral compass' once again.

I just try to be an adult. Not my style to dog out teenagers on a message board but if that's your game, more power to you I guess. :hi:

Why is it that every time a kid is waffling on his decision, or changes his mind, people on here claim that he is a "flake" or "drama queen". Most of us on here are grown men (and women) yet some of you guys are the ones that are acting like teenagers. Good grief, maybe he is just having a hard time making a decision. I guess that doesn't make sense though. I know I never struggled with decision making when i was a teenager.

I'm 12 and wat is this?

If it was us , the ncaa would throw the book at us. But, they're not going to do anything to their darlings. The ncaa doesn't have enough marbles to stand up to bama.

Just like Mizzou getting nailed in basketball today. And there is no news in the UNC academic scandal. College athletics have absolutely no credibility.

Just do not know why more programs do not cheat and sue the NCAA when they break their own rules with selective application of those rules.

Programs like Alabama in football, and UK and UNC in basketball, would have to play by the same rules as other programs.

Someone mentioned that he might have academic problems? There is no way I believe that. He speaks four languages fluently.

Per P fort
Robert Gillespie is making his way out to Arizona to see Jonathan Kongbo. Tennessee is still very much in the Kongbo race despite his recent decommitment. There was some pressure from the family that wanted him to step back from his commitment if he was going to continue to take visits. Obviously, the next few weeks are very important as he takes other visits, Alabama on Jan. 22 with his last visit to be determined, but Tennessee is still in the thick of things.

Interesting. So his family is holding him accountable. Saying if your flirting you need to just be up front and break up.

I can respect that from his family.

I love VN but we have too many posters here with uninformed opinions. If you have never been a college recruit or gone through it with a child of your own, then you have no idea how difficult this can be for a young adult. For some it's simple, you get an offer from your dream school and that's the end of the process. But, unfortunately, it's not that cut and dry for most. This can be the most impactful decision a person makes in their entire life, so please stop calling these kids names or saying negative things about them if they happen to choose someone other than us (I do realize this will never happen). While it seems like a no brainer to a Vol fan, it's not an easy decision for a young man or their family. There are so many factors involved beyond football to consider, that it's not near as fun or glamorous as it appears to the casual observer. I'm just asking some here to be a little more considerate with what you say about kids that we would all love to see wearing the orange and white.
